Dear Partners,

Please, find below the global retrospective for Sprint 5.1.2
You can find it available at https://jira.fiware.org/browse/COR-501

Global Retrospective for Sprint 5.1.2
WHAT WENT WELL
ACHIEVEMENT FEELING
Apps

  * Almost everything went as planned
  * All tickets in the help desk were renamed to follow the correct pattern.
  * Almost all the opened help desk tickets related to WireCloud were solved
Cloud

  * There is progress in all GE features
  * Response time to help desk issue is improving
  * Many document deliverables were prepared
Data

  * CEP GE owner got help from FIWARE team for solving issues with ReadTheDocs.
  * Cygnus updated documentation is now available at ReadTheDocs.
  * Two startups already contacted Cloud Messaging GE team to start using it. Working now on reviewing the recipes.
IoT

  * We are now able to interoperate with OneM2M IoT Systems, thanks to the development of a specific IoT Agent to talk to the MCA interface.
  * AIOTI WG3 is following our model (FIWARE IoT Stack) introducing and E-2 interface to talk to any system (being IoT or not) based on the idea of Context Information (and mentioning NGSI as a main example of implementation).
  * We have also launched the FIWARE IoT Ready program with several Open Hardware solutions and commercial products.
  * Nowadays there are 4 Spanish companies and two from Chile but soon we expect to have companies in other EU countries.
  * We have worked out all we need to deliver the OpenSpecs.
  * Cepheus Lightweight CB for IUoT Gateways is also becoming more stable and we have introduced new features such as geospatial support. Some more work to automate delivery is needed.
Security

  * Overall good progress on still active GEs (i.e. IdM, PDP & PEP). Work performed mostly as planned
WebUI

  * Development on GE and support proceeded as planned
Ops:

  * Good progress during this sprint in particular on the key activities: keystone distribution, monitoring and Infographics, maintenance calendar
  * New Infographics and Status Page, deployed into production on the FIWARE Lab has been very appreciated by many stakeholders
Academy:

  * Monitoring and backup of the Course Builder closed and verified.
  * The activities for the new theme are proceeding, we're in contact with Ogilvy and we're evaluating which theme to use as base for the development
Catalogue

  * Search side bar functionality technical aspects and associated development has been completed
  * LDAP integration with the Catalogue technical aspects and associated development has been completed
WHAT TO IMPROVE:
BLOCKADE/RISK FEELING
GOALS/TARGETS/OBJECTIVES

  * DATA - Some release 4 related items from some of the incubated GEs had to be delayed.
  * IOT - Tasks to improve are images/blueprints generation and lowering helpdesk time response.
TRAINNING MATERIAL

  * ACA - To turn feedback from the users in tickets. Many are related to content of courses and they will be handled under SUS/Training Material
  * SEC - New tooling to create FIWARE Course far too much demanding to ease creation of such courses as it should be. This because demanding a Linux machine and a lot to be installed: a apache server, PHP, etc ... Effort should be put here to improve and come up with a package easy to install and use!
LAB

  * CLD - The Docker GE requires quotas from the FIWARE Spain node to begin building the Docker Container Service
  * OPS - installation of the new monitoring architecture is not yet complete due to problems in the Spain node
TOOLS:

  * DATA - Some issues were asked both in stackoverflow and Jira and a link between them was not provided. Probably the issue was created in SFO by the real user and in Jira by the accelerator coach. SOF link must be manually provided by the coach in the issue description in Jira.
  * DATA - Not enough information or support from ReadTheDocs site (comment: not really an action on FIWARE)
  * SEC - Production of deliverables. Instructions not delivered on a timely manner for Open Spec and more specifically Technical Roadmap. Even more they were not crystal clear right from the start (so had to reviewed) and far too much demanding since we had to regenerate a number of times accompanying HTML & PDF files from Fabre tool.
  * SEC - Tool provided to generate deliverable far from being complete and demanding a lot of manual patching afterwards.
  * SEC - Lack of true support - Cyril as WPA never managed to connect to the generation tool and so we went through my account as WPL which hopefully works!
  * WEBUI - Guidelines for new tools such as Apiary or Docker was found to be too basic for those who have not worked with these tools before. Applying them to GE with special constraints that may differ from the basic use was time consuming.
OTHERS:

  * CAT - LDAP integration with the Catalogue has suffered some delay due to problems with the Drupal module used. A consequence of this has been the request to the Catalogue users to change manually their user names to be consistent with the user names used in the forge
  * CLD - We require updates to Open Spec R4 deliverable
TEAM: COMMUNICATION/RESPONSIVENESS/COMMITMENT

  * I2ND - Misunderstanding with DFKI. It seems now with the new DoW they have no more time to develop in KIARA. Their tasks are on hold. We will discuss this issue next week.
  * OPS - the handover of the activities inside Atos created some delays during the sprint.

Let me remind there's an internal help desk where to request help or report bugs of tools.
http://backlog.fiware.org/helpdesk/tools
This help desk has several channels devoted to each specific tool, if you missed any, please let me know.

Let me also inform you there's a specific backlog for training material within sustainability working group:
http://backlog.fiware.org/workgroup/Sustainability
http://backlog.fiware.org/workgroup/Sustainability/Training%20Material

LAB has also a tracker, which is available at https://jira.fiware.org/projects/LAB
There you can create work items for specific nodes.

Thanks you for effort, contributions and cooperation!!
Kind regards,
Manuel
