Dear Partners,

Find below the global retrospective from Sprint 4.4.2 corresponding to the input received in August.
Sorry for taking so long to collect the retrospective.
Global Retrospective for Sprint 4.4.2
WHAT WENT WELL
ACHIEVEMENT FEELING
Cloud

  * Object Storage course material was finally prepared in FIWARE Academy according to the SCORM format. (Education material was previously available only in the catalog.) In addition, an mp4 video was prepared and uploaded to youTube showing how to use a storlet on object storage
Data

  * Most planned items were finished on time, as expected.
IOT

  * Lots of update for all IoT GEs on documentation, training courses and tickets resolutions. Based on decisions taken during July F2F meeting, IDAS has started to implement some changes regarding Edge Management features (more generic approach including Fiware Gateway management)
I2ND

  * Sprint closing without delay according to the roadmap for all the GEs in chapter
  * Backlog nearly correct (without errors)
WebUI

  * New Helpdesk view per Enabler in backlog dash board is very helpful for GE owners to keep track of tickets assigned to them
Ops:

  * Flavor management defined and integrated into the dashboard
  * Documentation related to both flavor management API and dashboard deployment provided.
  * In Deploy integrated the new monitoring components and completed the Calamari plugin
  * Finally User Management has been tested and is ready to be deployed
Academy:

  * It's possible to take advantage from Bitergia support to integrate backup and monitoring of the Course Builder. The activities to define the new Look & Feel for the Academy started.
TEAM: COMMUNICATION/MEETINGS

  * I2ND - Weekly chapter meetings seen as positive for better understanding overall chapter/project requirements and their impact on GEs.
  * I2ND - Improved capability to smooth issues, share more accurate information and specification/implementation details and make decision on common goal (Robotics GE)
  * WEBUI - Communication with coordinators concerning upcoming deliverables
WHAT TO IMPROVE:
BLOCKADE/RISK FEELING
GUIDELINES

  * DATA - Apiary guidelines are not fully clear and getting support is not always straigthforward.
  * DATA - Guidelines on required tasks to perform this month for the discontinued funding GEs is necessary (process for incubated GEs, is dockerization still required for them if they won't be in the catalogue etc.)
GOALS/TARGETS/OBJECTIVES

  * OPS- Sprint completed with a not good percentage of task implemented wrt the ones planned (around 80%) mainly due to the vacation period and the lack of workforce during August.
  * OPS - Documentation and testing in general is something that is lagging behind. These topics deserve more attention
OTHERS:

  * CLOUD - The building of a course in the exact required format to be very time consuming and somewhat cumbersome. I'm not sure how to make this easier.
  * IOT - Changes in NGSI have a clear impact for all GEs but first priority is the delivery including dockerisation and update of documentation to be aligned with new developers' guidelines.
  * WEBUI - Work estimation (POI Provider)
AGILE:BACKLOG/JIRA

  * DATA - Support mechanism to users in Jira could be improved via Jira notifications, instead of having to send a separate email with updates/comments.
TEAM:COMMUNICATION/RESPONSIVENESS/COMMITMENT

  * ACA - Due to summer vacations the interaction with people was not as during the other periods.
  * CLOUD - People on vacation did delegate someone to complete their Sprint closing and add their retrospectives.
  * I2ND - Better management of vacational periods should be ensured, especially when there is some integration task in process.
  * I2ND - Demanded overhead is difficult to tackle on sometimes, which appears as less commitment to building cooperatively a GE (Robotics GE)
APPS, SEC and CAT chapters haven't provided retrospective.

I agree on the comment holidays are difficult to manage at project level. Normally, each entity should manage their own replacements.
And yes they have an impact on number of targets met, but communication also slows down, so it impacts everywhere.
They good thing is we all recharge batteries to face new challenges.

We are doing an effort on setting Q/A platform: Asbot and in integrating them with the HelpDesk.

Thanks all for effort, contributions and cooperation!!

Have a nice weekend!!
Kind regards,
Manuel
