Dear all,

   A kick off meeting of the Data Spaces Synergy Group has been
scheduled for May 21, from 09:00 to 12:00 CEST.

   As you know, this Synergy Group is targeted to create a stable
framework for collaboration between those projects which share an enough
common vision regarding building blocks required to support the creation
of data spaces, as well as concrete technologies and standards that can
be used for materializing such building blocks (see current version of
the Data Spaces Synergy Group base presentation
<https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1poYN5XZA9WWpUzjciP0RUankf93D5AqvzDvrrZd1H8g/edit?usp=sharing>
as term of reference).   So far, the projects identified to be able to
exploit such synergies are, besides i4Trust itself:  EUH4Data, BD4NRG,
PLATOON, Synergy, DataPorts.

   I have sent a calendar invite to some of you so that you book this
kick-off workshop in your agendas.  In this respect, it is important
that i4Trust counts with a strong presence.

   The agenda of the workshop would be as follows:

  * Introduction (15 minutes)
      o Overall mission of the Synergy Group, concrete objectives
      o Description of proposed Task Forces
  * Presentation by projects initially joining the Synergy Group (1 hour):
      o EUH4Data
      o i4Trust
      o BD4NRG
      o PLATOON
      o Synergy
      o DataPorts
  * Breakout sessions (parallel) (45 mins) - interactive session using
    miró tool
      o Task Force 1: Data Spaces Technology Building Blocks
      o Task Force 2: Business and Legal Frameworks + Policy recommendations
      o Task Force 3: Ecosystem building and Communications
  * Break (15 mins - in parallel, caretakers of each breakout / Task
    Force session prepare summary presentations)
  * Presentations/wrap-up from caretakers of each of the breakout / Task
    Force sessions (10 mins per Task  Force)
  * Wrap-up Next steps (15 minutes)

   We should make sure 1-2 people play an active role in each of the
breakout sessions, associated to each of the proposed Task Forces.
Those Breakout sessions will be targeted to run a brainstorm discussion
(using some tool like Miró) towards identification of points around
which to exploit synergies and coordinate concrete actions.

   Besides the mentioned initial projects, we will be inviting
organizations that are members of BDVA and FIWARE Foundation as well as
representatives of projects connected to the topic (e.g., the REACH
project which is one of the "sister" projects of i4Trust which got
funded under the same call).

   We will have the opportunity to discuss about the details how to
prepare this workshop in the coming days, but I wanted to send to you
this advanced notice.  Please stay tuned.

   Cheers,

   Juanjo
