We have already raised these concerns during the meeting. After the FI-PPP AB meeting we met with one of SafeCity end users (Madrid Police) and they have confirmed the concerns we had. The attached document is not replacing SafeCity requirements for Generic Enablers that will be provided in the required backlog format in due time. However, it is very important for us to understand the direction that FI-WARE is taking, particularly in regard to communications and security, as this has direct impact on SafeCity. It?s very easy to create and modify diagrams since everything is created via a simple scripting language. You can easily check out the examples on the site. Since it?s a sequence diagram it will not contain states, but this can be simply solved by putting notes (for the states) just after the operation lines. In the second step (starting next Friday) we will derive and prioritize EPICs (and later on user stories) from the themes. I would like to ask the business framework and composition & mashup TLs to organize their teams in order to prepare diagrams at least for the basic and obvious use cases/scenarios until next Friday. Please find attached the excels with EPIC and user stories examples as well as ppts with the collaboration diagrams used today to illustrate the idea of end-to-end collaboration scenarios. Please find also attached an example (1st slide in the ppt) created by "WebSequenceDiagrams" mentioned by Calin in the call today. We will look until Monday for alternative graphical representations and share with you so that we can decide on one of them by Monday. In order to make things not more complicated Adreas and I found it useful to concentrate only on a few elements borrowed from BPMN. To be more exact, we only use: * Tasks * Sequence flow * Message flow * and Swim lanes for mapping tasks to roles or GE respectively Please find attached an example of such a blueprint diagram. The rationale behind this is to derive the epics and user stories from these kinds of pictures. The epic would be one or more tasks or task flow. The user stories are reflected by the message flow elements. Each task within the WP3 is kindly asked to work on such collaboration blueprints (at least one). We will discuss them in our next meeting. Best regards, Torsten PS: We created the diagram with yED, a free drawing tool, which has nice support for BPMN. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... We want to share them to facilitate discussion during our next confcall. The AggregatorCreatesMashup scenario is quite similar to our proposed ContractOfferedGadgets scenario (we prefer AggregatorCreatesMashup as a definitive name if both scenarios are consolidated in a single one), but we want to highlight the following differences (criticisms are welcome, of course): - Gadgets are linked to the services they use, but we consider it worth separating them from the pricing/contracting/selling/revenue point of view to increase the number of possible business models. For example, we want to allow users to buy a "navigation gadget" separately from the maps, real-time traffic information services, etc. the want to contract. This is why we allow the aggregator (e.g. being she the ulterior consumer of the mashup) to enter the "ContractOfferedServices" scenario for each gadget she wants to use in the mashup. Alternatively, the ContractOfferedServices could also be entered by the store during "contract gadget" if we want to make the process transparent to the user, or even can be entered by the gadget developer when she creates the gadget (i.e the dependency is "hard coded"). Most of the times, the "ContractOfferedServices" will be used in a simplified way, without the need to compose services, nor create/deploy/publish a composite service (only find/contract service tasks will be needed). - We consider it valuable to allow the aggregator to create a RSS Model for the mashup itself, starting from the RSS Models of the mashups, gadgets (and the underlying services) being used. - In a mashup scenario, the aggregator and the consumer roles are quite related and are usually performed by the same user (i.e. prosumer) and we consider it worth conveying this particularity in the scenario. Therefore, in our proposal, once the mashup is created, the aggregator has the choice to deploy the mashup or, on the contrary, she has the choice to deploy and use the mashup (adquiring then the "role of prosumer"). Both alternatives can occur simultaneously in a single scenario. - In our proposal, we distinguish between aggregator, application mashup editor and mashup execution engine to convey ideas such as that the mashup is created by wiring the gadgets, the configuration of the gadget includes operations such as resizing, locating, assigning it to a tab, etc. The "DevelopPublishGadget" scenario has been derived from the "Develop/Deploy/Publish" scenario sent by Andreas in a previous email (PPT slide). Look forward to hearing from you soon! Concerning your last point about the RS feedback for customers... the feedback about completion of service fulfillment is not going directly to customers but to the marketplace. As the RS Engine can (at least theoretically) consume not only events from a billing system but also e.g. violation notifications from an SLA manager there is an opportunity to derive some objective information about the quality of service fulfillment that can be communicated to a marketplace in order to be used to rate a service. However, I neither don't know if this is really in the responsibility of the RS Engine or perhaps a SLA Manager (that is not shown in the picture at the moment at all) nor what should be the priority for this kind of functionality in the business framework. Perhaps, ENG has an opinion on this? Regards, Andreas From: JUAN LAMBEA RUEDA [mailto:juanlr at tid.es] Sent: Mittwoch, 24. For illustration we describe an example - a bible service - which could be build as mashed application by a composition tool. The bible SMS service sends daily bible verses via SMS to a consumer. This is a commercially running service (in englisch e.g. http://dailybiblesms.com/eng/sms/bible/, in german e.g. http://www.ekd.de/bibel/bibel_sms.html). A prosumer creates this mashed application with the mashup factory combining specific web services like SMS, bible verses, time-controler, storage, user-management, etc. first for himself, and then for selling via a market. The SMS service is of special interest because it produces costs. Thus, in the Mashup factory the prosumer may choose between different SMS providers (e.g. ericsson labs https://labs.ericsson.com/apis/sms-send-and-receive/, Telefonicas https://bluevia.com/en/knowledge/APIs.API-Guides.SMS or Deutsche Telekoms SMS). The prosumer selects bluevias SMS, because bluevia has realised a revenue sharing mechanism for its APIs usage with 10% share per use ( https://bluevia.com/en/page/view/menupath/main.gotomarket.sell.businessModels, http://www.slideshare.net/bluevia/bluevia-business-models-developer-guide) The business related information about the SMS services is retrieved from the USDL repository or market place, the technical from the aggregators repository. After composing the mashed application, the prosumer tests the application in a sandbox with the execution engine. For a productization the prosumer has to contract the SMS service with bluevia (get a SMS commercialization ID), the revenue share module is informed about the SMS share of bluevia for the prosumer. Then he has to define a business model, e.g. subscription or pay per single bible verse, etc. This information is provided by the Business Model Enabler. For example: a subscription for one month is proposed. Then a price for the application is calculated by the pricing tool, e.g. 4 ? per month. With that information the application can be published, i.e. it is deployed to the execution engine, described in USDL, exposed in the marketplace, where a consumer can find it.
