[Fiware-apps] News from WPL/WPA Telco

Dear colleagues,
let me add some thoughts here:


1.      Catalog content - in general

ð  I want to emphasize that you should REALLY focus on this within this week. These entries are rather low-level to fix and it poses a high effect towards the outside. And as we have some internal approval barriers, I would strongly advise for a solution implemented today or tomorrow to allow for this approval process to finalize in time.

2.      Catalog content - T&C

Please see the attached WORD file with open questions on T&C for the partners: UPM, THALES, TI, ECE, DT

3.      Catalog entries - missing GEs

ð  BEMES - try to fix all pending editorial changes and comply to the given rules of the approvers, otherwise you will have a hard time defending your GE in front of the review

4.      Catalog entries - content

I only briefly looked over them - please use the word template in order to check spelling and grammar mistakes and correct them!

5.      Catalog entries - download sections
PLEASE update the download sections - e.g. it gives very bad impression on your contributions, which actually is not the case - e.g for UPM:

ð  Is this really the "latest" version that is linked here - why is this even called "1.1.0"? Where do I find addtionaly and "current" downloads - we are in sprint/release 3.2 and there is not even 2.X mentioned....

ð  I didn't to a checklist for all partners please work on this autonomously for EVERY component.

6.      Catalog - all other tabs

In general - check all tabs  of the catalogue and work on the content as much as possible to achieve most updated content and links and information!

here is send some preliminary news from WPL/WPA telco for you. Please note that for some topics separate e-mails from colleagues are planned and will be distributed soon...
My mail here is more to make you aware what is under discussion since we are now in a "fast-move-mode" a bit... please rely on the other mails for strict deadlines etc....

FI-WARE Catalog Entries for Review / External availability: Reviewers and EC perform the assessment only after end of this month November (!). Until then, you can change and add.

-          A separate mail planned, if I recall right, on this topic for distribution

-          FI-WARE-Catalog: Terms and Conditions and Licenses information. Junajo assumes that extra care might be spent here by reviewers (!)

-          Question for Catalog: How will reviewers consume it? Paper or online only? Arian said they will check catalog online....but do not rely on this info IMHO.
Review 18.12.:

-          Review Agenda Draft will be sent by Juanjo/Miguel to EC this week, including a slot for exploitation questions per GE owners (they can attend then if needed), Answer by EC requested until 11.12 (one week ahead).
SW-Release / Catalog uploads of software ZIPs for the Review:

-          Software information / ZIPs not always up-to-date (some "newest" releases date from mid of 2012...) --> update/upload of new software there is needed to let the _reviewers_ see that we have very "fresh tomatoes" to offer...

-          An Email will be sent from TID (Miguel) to clarify procedures & deadlines what needs to be done

-          JH: In general, every partner can update the SW and documents for its Catalog areas without waiting until the end of major release. But it will only be listed to public if the reviews are completed. If you add manuals before a date given by TID then it can be public before the review
