Hi all,

I wanted to send you a current update on packaging templates so that you can plan a bit more:

Update: Stefano had created first draft of a template and distributed it for discussion in WPL/WPA (thx). We there have worked on this and in WPL/WPA are finalizing it (Stefano will then distribute the final last updated version now).

The discussion on this is NOT finalized yet, but as some of you asked for input to start now with the content I would like to give you a pre-view of possible content so that you can prepare the contents  while the format-oriented WIKI page template for the Catalog arrives later:
Therefore not to confuse much I have decided to not attach the current template draft from Stefano now (Stefano will send the final version around soon) - instead I attach some proposed content FYI below

I guess the proposed content is not surprising, but I wanted to share with you the possible direction in which it might go...

As usual, if you should have comments/tips, please keep me posted...

A sketch of content from within WPL/WPA for package WIKI template-based pages:

At least in WP6 we have identified the need to provide an additional document for the GEs package. This document might well be an special wiki page containing:

*         Special installation, configuration and administration instructions (in addition to the information already provided by each GE in the package). Not everything can be automated from the recipes and there might be some customization options.

*         Usage patterns. In our case, how to model entities and attributes, subscriptions, event processing rules, data storage, etc. This are "additional aspects" because we are using various GEs together.

So I propose to create one or more pages for that content.

having said that i suggest for the documentation page:
- links to the package installation manual
- links to the documentation pages of the geis composing the package
- example on the use/demo of the package (indeed if there is a package is becouse there is a need for it, so more possible use of it as such)
