[Fiware-cloud] FI-WARE Cloud weekly 17/1 minutes

Alex Glikson GLIKSON at il.ibm.com
Tue Jan 17 21:49:13 CET 2012

Attendees: Alex, UPM (Joaquin, Irena) , Serge, David, Andy, Fernando

Agenda:
- F2F agenda
- arch spec

Minutes:
- it is being discussed with Juanjo to move some of UPM funding to WP4, so
that they can take ownership of the portal work
- it was mentioned that starting from next week, Technicolor will have a
new contact for WP4 work (Pascal Le Guyadec), while Serge will be focusing
on WP7
- we reviewed the proposed agenda. Action Item: we need to provide the
next level of details for the agenda (few bullets per topic, by the end of
Thursday), as follows:
  - Alex: Kick-off, Arch Spec, RM
  - Fernando/Joaquin/Irena: SM, Portal, Identity Management
  - Serge: Cloud Edge
  - Andy: monitoring
- Action Item [Alex]: follow-up with Juanjo regarding the Arch Spec
outline, expected length
- it is not completely clear how the open specifications will evolve
between the releases. It was agreed to take a pragmatic approach, focusing
in each open specification release on capabilities which are expected to
be delivered in the corresponding release of the implementation.
- we reviewed the initial outline of the DCRM GE specification (). some
comments:
  - need to add a section on image management
  - will keep 'security considerations' as a top-level item
  - we should refer to NIST definition of cloud computing for key design
principles. should also mention easy of management, extensibility,
multi-tenancy/isolation
  - Action Item [Andy, David, Alex] we will continue in parallel with
adding content to the various sections, with the following focus areas:
    - Andy: OCCI, security, handling long operations, resource
provisioning, security, design principles
    - David: QoS, support for composite services, monitoring, design
principles
    - Alex: everything else :-)
- Action Item [GE leads]: add outline and initial content before the F2F

Regards,
Alex
