[Fiware-cloud] Fwd: Review of delivery of WP4 in October

Thanks Miguel.
I have been attending some of the testbed meetings but it seems I do not have the access you mention. I will investigate.

Regarding my question on access for external people, basically when I describe our testbed instance on the catalogue, I would like to describe how people (e.g. from Use Cases) can apply to get their IP address authorized by Telefonica. I am not sure how to do that.

Thank you,

- John.

Hi John,

I answer inline...

Hi Miguel.
Intel is responsible for ObjectStorage GE. This was installed on the Telefonica Testbed some weeks ago. We also contribute OCCI support to the DCRM GE that IBM have overall responsibility for...but various components include the OCCI component are also installed on the testbed.

Integration Tracker: We were not aware of this page before now and we have updated to "under installation" for both ObjectStorage and DCRM GEs.
We do not have permission to update to "under sanity check"...Paolo can you update this for ObjectStorage?
https://forge.fi-ware.eu/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2099&group_id=18&atid=224
This possibly means that the user is not logged on the forge (or does not have permissions on the Testbed project). The definition of the tracker can be found on https://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/testbed/index.php/Testbed_V1_Integration_Plan (you need access to the testbed project to read it)

1) Who is the person who is trying to do this? Is he on the testbed project?
2) If you are not aware of this, I worry. Intel's contact in the Testbed should have informed of it. Please tell him to pass the info in the future (or appoint someone to do this sort of job, the contact point of each company should attend the weekly Testbed meeting and also circulate the relevant info on the Testbed list )

Status on Cockpit: The data in the xls is not up to date. ObjectStorage and DCRM were both 60% when we looked at it...this is accurate (as far as we know).
https://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/testbed/index.php/Testbed_V1_Implementation_Cockpit
Yes, you are completely right

Catalogue: We will update the ObjectStorage catalogue entry as soon as we get a chance. When can we say the instance is available...when it is at 60%? How should external people get access to the testbed (get their IP approved)?
1) You can add the entry when it is at 60% but we would not announce publicly until it gets to 80%. So you can do it as it is now.
2) "external" means Use Case projects?

Thank you,

- John.

Dear all,

Given the urgency of this (the deadline is near) and that Alex is on holidays, I send you my review. I did it on Friday, something might have changed from then. Please, each one of you take a loot at this and react asap.

Thanks

Miguel

Dear Alex,

I have been taking a look at the delivery of the release of September

(that will actually be released in October). It looks pretty grim but

you have time to fix it. There are increments in functionality from the

delivery of July to the one in September ... but not in the manuals

(hard to believe). I suppose you haven't come round to organize this so

far.

I am also looking at the state of the testbed related stuff. It is a

bit neglected (catalogue, tracker, cockpit...) but these can be fixed

very quickly. The manuals are more complicated to tackle as they should

take more time.

Please start activating the team to solve all these issues.

Best regards,

Miguel
