Dear all, Please find below the message from Peretz Gurel on the success of the Safecity PoC in Stockholm that has taken place this last night, from 01:00am to 03:00am. This was important because it has been the first FI-WARE PoC involving the FI-WARE Testbed, using several FI-WARE GEis and implying a true Proof of Concept "in the field" Thanks to all who helped this to be a success, the FI-WARE Testbed team and the people who offered support of the several FI-WARE GEis involved. All the SafeCity applications worked as planned: 1. Applications running on the FI-WARE test bed in Seville, Spain: a. Rule Based Engine, using the CEP GE, processed incoming events b. Data Fusion, running on a Virtual Machine on the test bed and using the SAS GE, further stored and semantically processed the information c. Decision Suppot System, running on a Virtual Machine on the test bed delivered the User Interface over the internet to browsers in the command centers 2. Applications running locally in Stockholm: a. Sensors and Sensor Adapters collected environmental data b. Ad Hoc radio network tramitted the data to the Gatways c. Gateways collected the sensor data and made it available for processing on the FI-WARE test bed d. Security manager securely transferred the data from the Sensor Adapters to the Gateways. All sensor data was collected locally in Stockholm, processed by applications running on the FI-WARE test bed in Seville (Spain), using FI-WARE Generioc Enablers, and the results were presented back in Stockholm command ceters In addition to the PoC we have provided 3 IR thermal camera local video streaming and did some local testing of video analytics technology. The system worked as expected. The operation of the FI-WARE test bed and the FI-WARE Generic Enablers was flawless. I would lke to thank all SafeCity WP4 partners for the hard work and dedication to achieve this important milestone for SafeCity and also for FI-WARE, as this is the first PoC based on FI-WARE technology. I would also like to thank the FI-WARE test bed team and FI-WARE GE teams for their willingness to support us before the PoC and during the very late time of the PoC itself (1am – 3am).
