[Fiware-i2nd] NEW URGENT ACTION: Materializing the Interface to Networks and Devices (I2ND) in FI-WARE

Hi Pier, Miguel,

I need some clarity on the clarity on the priority numeric system:

· Question: Does a low number represent a high priority, or a low priority?

o   (0...n) Where: 0 = very high priority & n = low priority

OR

o   (n...0) Where: n = high priority & 0 = low priority?

· Question: Is the priority numbering system zero based? Or based on 1? (is 0 high, or 1 high?)

· Question: What are the numeric mappings for the MoSCoW textual values?

MoSCoW

Numeric Value?

Alternative?

Must

0 (high)?

3?

Should

1?

2?

Could

2?

1?

Wont

3 (low)?

0?

The details on the wiki<http://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/How_to_upload_the_full_description_of_backlog_entries_to_the_Wiki> (table under "Edit the backlog entry details") are ambiguous on these points. - Have you guys addressed these points before? Perhaps I've missed the information
Thanks in advance for your help,
Chris

Subject: [Fiware-i2nd] NEW URGENT ACTION: Materializing the Interface to Networks and Devices (I2ND) in FI-WARE

Dear All,

below you can find the second part of requests to make the wiki pages, as well as project trackers, more uniform across the different chapters.

Main work for us is to go inside each epic and, according to the guidelines page mentioned in the mail, complete the missing fields (except the 'Theme' field, as we do not have upper layer entities for our epics).

Second main item is to manage the discrepancy between the FIWARE.Epic.I2ND.NetIC.DeviceReachability epic and the tracker, i.e. missing entry in the latter for that epic (Thomas can you check this point and take necessary action, thanks).

As for previous actions, the deadline is tomorrow...

BR
Pier

Hello again,

As promised, my comments to the backlog follow.

General comments (for all WPs)
=============================
You should review the full description of your backlog entries in the Wiki to make sure all fields are properly filled in. Despite we provided a spreadsheet explaining how to fill each fields and some examples when we started this exercise (the spreadsheet was distributed in mid August) we have found that that guidelines haven't been followed in many cases. We have enhanced the tutorial on the Wiki to include all the explanations now and to make sure that there is a place on the Wiki that you can check out in case of doubt. You can find it at:

 *     http://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/How_to_upload_the_full_description_of_backlog_entries_to_the_Wiki

  Particularly important is the style used for the text provided as "Goal" field. Please try to align with the patterns provided in the description of this field.

Do not forget to visit the pages with instructions to handle the trackers:

 *   http://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/How_to_create_and_configure_trackers_in_FusionForge
 *   http://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/How_to_create_entries_in_the_%22Backlog_Management%22_Tracker_of_a_FI-WARE_Chapter
Particular comments (for this WP)
=============================

 * Backlog entries on the Wiki and tracker fully aligned except for:
    *   http://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/FIWARE.Epic.I2ND.NetIC.DeviceReachability

The deadline is tomorrow, Friday 4 EOB

Best regards,

Miguel
