Hi Chris and all, Thanks for the effort, it's not a small work. Here are three comments. (1) I think there is also some overlap between WP7 and WP8: * Epic Device Connectivity "As a FI-Ware application developer I need to ensure a great user experience by having access to information about and control of device connectivity" * User Profile "As connected device application user I want to access to my applications through secure and easy to use identification and authentication procedures, and with consistent privacy policies supported. * Subscriber Privacy Protection" "As a FI-Ware provider I have to ensure that users of my platform can trust the FI-Ware platform and the applications which run on and within that platform" (2) IMO there is certainly an overlap between technologies such as Openstack/Quantum or OpenSwitch in one hand and WP7.3 (NetIc) in the other hand, but not with WP7.4 (S3C). (3) OpenStack Keystone IMO is related to WP8, not WP7 as it's an identity service similar to the WP8 Identity enabler. Furthermore I think WP4 misunderstood some security or even basic management aspects when it wrote sentences like "In order to manage access and role-based rights of cloud resources (e.g. SSO, RBAC), I as the end user require an API to manipulate these aspects in a automated fashion." It's only my opinion. The "WP4 and WP7 Overlaps.docx" is the key document to review. My self (WP7) and Andrew Edmonds (WP4) conducted the overlap study and prepared the initial documents attached. As a courtesy I wanted to share these findings with the WP4 team as well. This work was done initially as an internal WP7 task. It aims to aid all WP7 participants in identifying similar or overlapping functionality / requirements within WP4, and helping to pro-actively provoke discussion between the related team members. These documents aim to highlight possible overlaps - they do not mandate that overlaps must occur. Their main purpose is simply to provoke discussion and requirement sharing between WP4 and WP7, so that any cross dependencies / requirements / functionality could be discussed and highlighted at an early stage. I hope you'll find these documents useful. Attached & Forge Link Wp4 and wp7 overlaps.docx This document outlines the Epics in WP4 and WP7 which may be related. The document aims to provide all members of WP7 with an initial assessment of potential overlaps. It is the responsibility of each of the tasks to follow up with their colleagues in WP4 Wp4wp7overlap-study.mm Working document (Mind-Map) showing related Epics between WP4 and WP7 Chris Woods ------------------------------------------------------------- Intel Ireland Limited (Branch) Collinstown Industrial Park, Leixlip, County Kildare, Ireland Registered Number: E902934 This e-mail and any attachments may contain confidential material for the sole use of the intended recipient(s).
