Dear all,

What about the cloud proxy???

It is a mixture of HW+SW+simulation tools (to replace the "missing blocks" inside the cloud and to allow basic administration of the cloud proxy). It is NOT linked to the cloud (because of this "missing block") and it does not have to be located at a specific place (ie: it can be given to 3rd parties as a "box").
I mean: most of the documentation is related to applications inside the cloud, everybody speaks about servers, capacity ... and ultimately about the location the servers will be at. This does not have any impact on our deliverable and we feel a little bit "alone" (when the others GE of I2N will be available, they might have a similar problem) and btw, another question is "to whom will we show / demonstrate the cloud proxy" (and when / where) ???

To summarize:

-          The "missing block" (already spoken with Juanjo & Alex (WP4) about that) does not allow full integration of the cloud proxy with the rest of FIWARE

-          We don't know to whom / where / when / under which conditions we will show / demonstrate our work

-          The cloud proxy (and probably other deliverables from WP7 & IoT as well) are "special cases", not really affected by the "server-related" questions but having their own constraints I feel not addressed right know (I don't know what to write in some documents (Dx.4 for example) because they are dedicated to cloud-based apps)!!!

In the mail below you can find some inputs about specific contents of Deliverable Dx.4 'Installation and Admin' which are considered mandatory, inside an overall ToC left free to the decisions of each chapter/GEs provider.
Please have a look and report possible main drawbacks which could emerge by their application to our specific GEs.

Dear all,

As agreed on the WPL/WPA confcall, the installation and admin manual does not have a fixed TOC and it will be decided internally in each WP. However, there are two sections that will appear in each installation and admin manual from each chapter. These sections will have the same TOC always. I refer to the sanity check procedures and the diagnosis procedures.

The TOCs for these sections can be found on the private Wiki:
