Thank you for all the suggestions concerning the logo; the proposal that is commonly agreed is to change its color to make it apparent, adding I2ND (while "private" is probably superflous: only I2ND people can access to this wiki section) without changing the size of the logo (to fit in the Wiki page template).

The goal here is not to have a nice looking logo - simply to be able to quickly and confidently identify which wiki we are using.
With this in mind :
· Reading text takes time - combine with colours / font / typeset
· Colour blind people won't spot subtle colour changes - change the shape or presentation is better - rotate, or alter image or text
· Finally - let's just change the logo completely:
o Simple square box, Han's groovy drawing embedded inside. Made it a colour that'll stand out against a white background- red / bright green / etc.

looks ok... My personal choice would be colour col2 or col3.
Just a hint: you can use all features of powerpoint to design and center the elements: just place and arrange them on an empty chart, and then use 'save as' with file format png. Last step would be to use a simple foto editor to shape and resize the picture (if needed).

P.S.: regarding Chris' idea: I would not put a stamp across the project logo, I would prefer to put the additinal info below (as in Gianmario's ideas). But I think it's a good idea to nit simply add 'I2ND' below but 'I2ND private'.

I've centered better the I2ND text; the font seems the same.
I've coloured the logo and the text: in this way it should be easier to distinguish I2ND from other sections (it was probably the main reason to change it).
I enclose 5 examples of logo differently colored to show the idea; it's not a professional editing though...

Hi Pier,
first guideline for selection should be that the logo serves for easy recognition of the I2ND wiki. Following this, I would propose to keep the black text (as in logo test1), with some minor adaptions:
- use same font, size and style (either both text parts in bold or none of them) for 'fiware' and 'I2ND'
- try to get both text parts center-aligned (in logo text1, center of 'I2ND' sems to be more left than center of 'fi-ware')

trying to close the I2ND 'logo' topic, I didn't come with any specific idea for a nicer logo, except putting the text in blue colour (see image FI-WARE_logo_test5 attached).
If you don't have other ideas, and feel this is reasonably good, I'll forward it to Miguel, who's waiting for our answer. On the other hand, this goes to our private wiki page, so it's important we can easily recognize it.

I have taken the original one (FI-WARE logo.png) and created two proposals:
* FI-WARE I2ND logo_test1.png
* FI-WARE I2ND logo_test2.png
Feel free to propose alternatives by sending another logo (my proposals are not particularly appealing). If you modify anything, please take note of the fonts, details , etc. as I want to replicate it in different chapter-wikis. Then each WPL will be able to modify them at will, but it will serve as a start.
