Hi Thomas,

Our "testbed" is up and running, we have Pronto switches, and already had successful demos for connectivity setup and connection recovery. But of course it has no NetIC API, and no external access.

Br,

Jozsef

Dear Pier,

please find attached a NetIC contribution to the I2ND risk table (do be checked also by the other tasks, comments go beyond NetIC issues!).

Concerning your chart set prepared:

On chart 2 'Major achievements' and chart 5 'Results to be delivered in 1st Release', it is stated that 'Networking GEs as stand-alone testbeds/components available, but not integrated in FI-WARE testbed, hence outside of first release'. At least for me it is not clear that we have in S3C or NetIC some sort of running testbed available which might be declared as very early release of a stand-alone GE implementation. For sure, there might be components available (in particular the assets), but they probably are not able to showcase the GE function... I would be happy to learn more on this.

Best regards,

Thomas

Betreff: [Fiware-i2nd] By Thu 14 - Draft I2ND slides for Review + Inputs on Events

Dear All,

here is the draft of I2ND slides I have prepared for the review meeting. The structure is uniform, so we cannot change it (Standardisation is an additional slide not planned in the template so far, but it will probably be merged along with the other chapters), however your comments and refinements would be extremely helpful to improve the messages we will provide through such slides.

The Risk slide is still empty, waiting your inputs by today.

Additionally, there are other two actions we should try to answer:

- In order to improve the 'communication' capabilities of FI-WARE, we need to provide a list of developers-oriented events that may be interesting to target from October 2012 on. This will answer recommendation R[1][2]6. Ensure there is a focus on attracting a development community for FI-WARE, and not only within the FI-PPP, but where possible within the partner organisations and the open community of potential users.

- We have also to provide a list of more general events which might be of interest to contribute, in response to the following recommendation:

R[1][2]9. Make sustained effort to enrol the support of stakeholders from the business and marketing departments of all major commercial partners in the project. External to the consortium, dissemination should go considerably beyond the "traditional groups" that are usually targeted for dissemination in FP7 projects. This concerns both the RTD communities and the business communities at large, within as well as outside Europe. Consumer organisations should also be considered and inputs be sought, to make sure that the FI-PPP results will be successfully adopted by the mass market.

Can you provide me (today) a list for both kind of events from the I2ND perspective?

Thanks and BR

Pier
