Dear All, Hans and me had today the periodic confcall with Juanjo, focusing on the contents of the two deliverables we have been working on in the past weeks/days. One specific message Juanjo gave us is that we are not currently urged to provide as much contributions as possible for the first FI-WARE release, while we are asked to provide what is a) really achievable, b) really able to be integrated in the testbed by the time the first release is exposed to UCPs, and c) absolutely expected by UCPs. On the other hand, this doesn't create specific concerns about outcomes not achieved from project management perspective, as the features are not explicitly specified in the DoW. We agreed therefore the following: - Architecture deliverable: our pages are n good shape, and the contents will be moved to the public page. One specific note will be put in the introduction to the single GE architectures, saying that this is a Very preliminary architecture of such GEs, which is subject to further refinements later (especially for NEtIC, S3C). This will be done by me today - Technical Roadmap: we have been suggested to relax a little bit the time of delivery of features for most of the GEs, again to avoid the risk of not being able to provide in time the features, and also to avoid too much inputs to the integration phase in a single step. This is considering also that the integration would not take place in the first testbed release, as the connection with PanLab is expected to be established later. The agreement we defined is therefore in the next three points: A) remove most (if not all) the features expected for first release of NetIC and S3C, moving them to second release. It is up to the Task Coords to decide whether the current second relase features remain there, or are moved to 'further relases' section. B) Remove the first release features for CDI too, since we are going to change the underlying platform in second release, moving them to second release. We might be able however to provide some of those features later in the year, upon e.g. specific request by the UCPs C) Keep as it is the CE technical roadmap, as it looks already well balanced for the first release D) All of this takes into account that there is no weak situation for the chapter even though the roadmap doesn't provide inputs for specific GEs I kindly ask all, under coordination of Task Leaders, to provide a feedback on the above points and, if agreed, to proceed in the modifications for the technical roadmap, so that they are complete by the end of Monday 12th. Many thanks and have a nice week-end!
