[Fiware-i2nd] R: Fi-WARE backlog tickets

Hi all,

 

I don't find any request in my field. Here are some comments about other topics but indeed Orange don't intend to contribute on those topics  J

·         https://forge.fi-ware.eu/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=278&group_id=7&atid=163 <https://forge.fi-ware.eu/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=278&group_id=7&atid=163>  I think here what is requested is some kind of queue to access resources with internal exclusion mechanisms. An example is for example a phone modem as a resource, it might be used by several applications at the same time, and the requested mechanism should send queries that are not mutually exclusive and make other waiting. A use case example is that is a first application/services tries to call a phone number, this "calling a phone number" and related queries such as "terminate call" should now be forbidden to other application/services by a semaphore.

·         I think this one is interesting as it introduce the notion of a virtual network and terminal that hides the underlying network and terminal: https://forge.fi-ware.eu/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=353&group_id=7&atid=163

·         Such requirements for extraordinary connectivity from OutSmart and other could be solved easily by a publish/notify mechanism for alarm information: https://forge.fi-ware.eu/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=970&group_id=7&atid=163

·         I think that lot of requirements are about QoS, so to minimize impact I think it would be smart to think about a simple QoS mechanism with publish/subscribe mechanisms such as:
Application subscribe to QoS "n" to S3C, S3C search for networks that have QoS "n". Later the network is not able to satisfy the QoS so it signals it to S3C. Then S3C signal this to the application. S3C is an indirect level that simplify the subscription mechanism as it offers only one point to subscribe to this kind of events.

·         There are also a lot of requirements about easy connectivity. Probably here we could use the same approach to introduce an indirect mechanism: For example an application on a terminal could make a generic query to a terminal middleware and that middleware could abstract the connection and establishment of an IP layer on the terminal.

Hi All againa,

 

just to avoid misunderstandings: my request to manage tickets refers to the FI-WARE project's ' FI-WARE Theme/Epic/Feature Requests <https://forge.fi-ware.eu/tracker/?atid=163&group_id=7&func=browse> ' tracker,  i.e. the one used by UCPs to insert their requirements, and not to the i2nd project one.

Hi All,

 

as you have noticed, in the past days tickets of the FI-WARE requirements backlog (i.e. those tickets issued by UCPs) which refer to I2ND were assigned to some you. If you didn't manage yet them, please do it asap. As I told you there will be soon an AB meeting where the tickets management will be discussed.
