Hi Pier,

Some information from the Task 7.4:


1)      I am planning to present the S3C GE by using some examples and use cases. So the defined APIs will be explained.

2)      We had a discussion regarding this topic between Task 7.3 and 7.4, since we had some doubts that the ToC can be used. We will come back to the whole WP with our suggestion.

3)      -

4)      As far as I saw this is completed for Task 7.4 and DT - request to the other partners involved in Task 7.4: Please do it.

5)      Sorry for the delay. For Task 7.4 it is fine. As mentioned we will try to explain the using examples and an overall objective for us.

Here is a list of very important actions to be completed in the following days, which we cannot postpone for discussion in the PhC on Thursday this week, since we need to respect the deadlines for project deliverable production, and to provide the right information to Use Case Projects concerning the educational weeks.

Please carefully read and check the expected involvement (especially Task Leaders should coordinate actions for their specific GE), then act accordingly as soon as possible (I have identified in brackets the expected owner of actions).

1- Open Specifications: by the end of this week (i.e. by May 11!) we need to have the wiki pages ready. For what concerns I2ND, the following actions are required:
. As the only 'official' delivery in first FI-WARE platform release is the Cloud Edge, its open specs have to be inserted (Henk, Serge)
. The open specs of other three GEs are delivered, however it is necessary to give at least some examples of the kind of APIs the developers will find when these GEs are ready (second platform release, maybe something earlier than next year). (Chris, Thomas, Hans)
. Practical notes:
                = For GEs not due by the first release, we'll exploit the concept of 'PRELIMINARY specs', so as we do not commit completely to provide interfaces which are not yest sufficiently stable.
                = At least an example of APIs per each GE needs to be provided. CDI at the moment is nearly ok, NetIC should convert the .doc into wiki page, and S3C needs to provide some actual APIs (I don't think there are some at the moment).
                               = Our proposal to provide some sub-pages per each GE APIs when a single wiki page is too long has been accepted. See example of CDI specs where each sub-page (will) provide the list of APIs of a functional group of interfaces. Please adopt this style should you have too many APIs in a single page.
                = When RESTful APIs are not exposed, we have to justify the choice (which is usually due to the adoption of standardized interfacing styles for specific contexts, e.g. webIDL for CDI).

2- Installation and Admin guide
                . We need to clarify what this deliverable should contain concerning CE. Finalisation of discussion going on among Miguel, Henk, myself to be achieved in the next couple of days.

3- Unit testing plan.
                . The proposals we did in our feedback (our mail dated 13 April) were accepted, check that mail for details.
                . We have to implement in our backlog the required modifications, i.e. insert a new field in the ticket pointing to the how-to-test description of a feature (which will be a section of a unique GE unit testing page). (Pier to organize)

                               = Monday 14-16 CDI (2h)
= Tuesday
9-10.15 NetIC (1h15')
10.15-11:45  S3C (1h15' with coffee break in it, or postponed/anticipated)
11:45-12:45 CE (1h) jointly with Cloud
                . Agreement with Cloud chapter is on going. (Pier/Henk)
                . Feedback is required for this agenda proposal by tomorrow afternoon. (Task Coords/potential Participants)
