Dear All, In the mails below you'll find the instructions we're going to follow to restructure the Architecture and Open Specification wiki pages. You'll find attached also some slide explaining the motivations for such modifications. With respect to what you'll read there (I suggest you start reading from the bottom mail), we'll perform the following actions: 1. By tomorrow, any modification to the current wiki pages need to be stopped. I believe none of us is modifying them (except Thomas and we are in contact about this point), because we haven't received yet the feedback of second peer review. 2. The feedback of second peer review will be available by the end of this week (provided by Security chapter). 3. On Oct 8-9 I'll personally create the new pages according to the instructions below. Meanwhile, you can take a look at restructuring instructions, in order to be ready to operate based on them (but don't do any modification now!). 4. Immediately after, I'll ask the Task/GE coords to restructure the relevant pages, according to the new template + according to the feedback of second peer review. This will complete by Oct 12. 5. The week after (15-19 Oct), we'll perform the third peer review on a chapter to be specified. We'll later appoint the responsibles for such review. 6. Then (presumably from 22 to 26 Oct) we'll perform the final update our I2ND wiki pages according to the third peer review feedback we'll receive by another chapter team. For the time being, i.e. until Monday 8th, please don't make any modification to the current wiki pages unless strictly necessary, and in this case please keep me informed about that. An additional comment concerning the restructuring of an Open Specs page when a GE is developed by multiple partners (some of you pointed out this in another mail). This is what stated in the mails below: One particular question you should carefully handle is the Copyright section of the specifications of a given GE. That section should contain the list of copyright statements from the companies/organizations authoring the specifications. Of course, that means that you should come with an agreement of who are the companies/organizations that should be listed as authors Hope this dissipates the doubts, otherwise please let me know. Thanks and BR Pier Da: fiware-wpl-bounces at lists.fi-ware.eu [mailto:fiware-wpl-bounces at lists.fi-ware.eu] Per conto di Juanjo Hierro Inviato: giovedì 4 ottobre 2012 06:56 A: fiware-wpl at lists.fi-ware.eu; fiware-wpa at lists.fi-ware.eu Oggetto: [Fiware-wpl] Clarification: IMPORTANT: Next steps regarding review of FI-WARE Architecture and Open Specifications Hi all, Just to avoid any misunderstandings ... Some of you may have received comments from the 2nd review with some delay ... therefore, you will not be able to introduce all of the changes derived from received comments by end of this week. Don't worry. That is understandable. What we want to achieve is closing a stable version by the end of the week. There may be changes still pending from the 2nd review. Of course, don't use this is an excuse for not trying to close as many comments as possible ;-) ... overall when you have received the comments on time ;-) We need to close a stable version by end of the week, and then stop changing the wiki, because we will concentrate during October 8-9 on the re-structuring the whole wiki. After that, we will start the 3rd peer review and you can resume adding the contents that were pending from the 2nd review. You may be implementing those while others are reviewing your chapter, but I believe this won't be too much an issue (there may be some "race conditions" but, in theory, the worst case is that someone sends you a comment on something you have already covered). Hope this clarification is helpful. Every WPL will take care of creating the FIWARE.OpenSpecifications.<Chapter-name>.<GE-name> wiki page per each of the GEs linked to his chapter. This is an activity that you should start on Monday October 8th and get finished by October 9th, so better you plan this in advance and, if you decide to distribute the task and assign it to GE owners/leaders, you should share with them this plan also in advance. To create the FIWARE.OpenSpecifications.<Chapter-name>.<GE-name> wiki page of a given GE, you should rely on the template defined in: https://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fi-ware-private/index.php?title=Open_specification_resubmission_template<http://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fforge.fi-ware.eu%2Fplugins%2Fmediawiki%2Fwiki%2Ffi-ware-private%2Findex.php%3Ftitle%3DOpen_specification_resubmission_template&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNHpL-5NLqeV-r5MUiEHpjpNLMOH1A> That template contains precise instructions about the steps to follow. You will find there a link to an example of how the resulting page may look like. One particular question you should carefully handle is the Copyright section of the specifications of a given GE. That section should contain the list of copyright statements from the companies/organizations authoring the specifications. Of course, that means that you should come with an agreement of who are the companies/organizations that should be listed as authors. Hopefully, this shouldn't be a big issue. On our side (TID), we will generate the part of the wiki that will allow us to navigate directly to the GE specs and generate the FI-WARE GE Open Specifications deliverables to be resubmitted. Once all changes are verified, we should start a final peer-review on October 10th. I will send an email with assignments for this last peer-review previous to our joint WPLs/WPAs confcall on Monday October 8th. We would like to send a note to the PO and reviewers on October 10th updating them on the results of our two first peer-reviews and the fact that they can access a revised version of the FI-WARE GE Open Specifications on the public wiki (however, the final official deliverable, in .pdf format, will be available by end of the month, incorporating results of the last, third peer-review). Because of that, you are asked to incorporate all changes derived as results of the two first peer-reviews (August and September) by end of this week, October 7th. If you have any particular question or concern, please let me know.
