Dear partners,

  This mail is to introduce Manuel Escriche who will play the Agile Project Manager role in FI-WARE.   His main mission will be to make sure that activities are progressing well at the level of all the FI-WARE Technical Chapters, adopting an Agile approach as described in [1].      Manuel will make sure that:

 *   The backlog associated to each FI-WARE Chapter is always up to date describing:
    *   functionality and features supported (or to be supported) by each FI-WARE GEi (Generic Enabler implementation)
    *   activities not yet planned but annotated as to be addressed somewhere in the future
    *   activities planned in the current sprint (current month), either development or other kind of activities
    *   activities fulfilled
 *   The FI-WARE Technical Roadmap [2] is up to date regarding the planning of Epics and Features (envisioned mapping into planned releases)
  Miguel will meet regularly with each Chapter Lead every Sprint to make sure that:

 *   the activities to be carried out regarding each FI-WARE GEi at the start of a Sprint are clear
 *   work items are considered at each Spring mapping to APs at chapter level identified for the sprint (typically APs identified during joint WPLs/WPAs follow-up confcalls or chapter specific confcalls)
 *   progress is made regarding refinement of Epics and Features planned to be addressed in current release
 *   activities planned in a closing/closed Sprint are actually closed, re-planned or deferred
  Miguel will meet Chapter leaders either this week or the next week to make sure that planning of Sprint 2.2.3 (see [3]) is defined.

  Note that report on activities (which obviously maps into justification of costs) will be compared against planning of activities.

  Manuel has an excellent record coordinating EU FP7 projects and also leading projects where Agile has been applied.  Therefore, I'm quite excited and happy that he has joined the FI-WARE coordination team.   Miguel will continue working on the rest of project management activities as well as activities related the FI-WARE Testbed.
