Dear Kay,

I am primarily fine with proposed architecture, probably we could agree all on that in the Telco tomorrow.

P.S: The changes I had inserted into slides 5 & 6 have not been incorporated in the updated version just received.

Thanks & Regards,
Mohamed Salem

Subject: [Fiware-i2nd] General Architecture of S3C and use of I2ND GEs for UCPs

Hello,

as discussed internally with the S3C participants, we are currently restructuring and cleaning up the S3C architecture and we also came out with the idea to provide an S3C API (Proxy) to relay HTTP/REST as well as SIP requests from a UCP towards S3C. This means, there is a single point for contact the S3C functionality for the UCPs and not around 10 separate APIs. This S3C proxy just maps the requests and forwards them towards the intended GE of S3C. Another positive effect is, that we have this piece of software which can be located at the testbed in Sevilla while the rest of the software of S3C will remain at DTAG testbed in Berlin connected via a vpn tunnel.

With the beginning of slide no. 4, you can find the outcomes. From slide 7 to 10, you can see the possibility to use our features from the perspective of the UCPs in different scenarios. Please remember: this is still a draft version!

I am looking forward to get feedback from you for discussions.

Unfortunately I will not participate the confcall by tomorrow, but Hans or Matthias are probably able to give you some more information in the call tomorrow.

Best Regards
