Dear All,

for the preparation of the review meeting (June 10-11 rehearsal, June 12-13 Review), there are a number of actions we have to perform, which are very important to complete as soon as possible; below I list them, trying to provide as much clear details as possible.

Although not directly related to the review meeting I also add another important action point, concerning the preparation of deliverables due by end of June.

And now take a deep breath and dive into the points below ;-)

1. Catalogue entries for GEis of R2. This is the most important and urgent action to be completed hopefully by wed 5th at 12:00. We are asked to add in the catalogue an entry for all the GEis we are going to provide in FI-WARE R2, i.e. all our implementations. To provide an entry for your GEi, please follow the points below:

    * Updated guidelines to create catalogue entries are available at: http://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Working_with_the_FI-WARE_catalogue#Guidelines_on_what_to_write
    * Major updates compared to past version of guidelines are:
                                                               i. How to apply the right "Terms and Condition" statements - there are guidelines - linked on as doc-file https://forge.fi-ware.eu/docman/view.php/27/2540/FI-WARE+Use+Terms+and+Conditions+12-11-20.docx
ii. Suggested text for how open specifications are linked-back from the catalogue
iii. Updated format for providing instance information and service endpoints

    * If you have never used the FI-WARE catalogue, have a look at the 'Getting Started' section of the wiki page above
    * Since our GEis are rather different from the others in FI-WARE, there might be doubts in fully applying the guidelines, I therwefore suggest the following:
                                                               i. Check first the description of the WireCloud GEi as a reference (although it should change to fully align with the updated guidelines, it is still a good reference): http://catalogue.fi-ware.eu/enablers/application-mashup-wirecloud
ii. If there are specific points which are hardly applicable to your GEi, check also the Cloud Edge implementation at http://catalogue.fi-ware.eu/enablers/cloud-edge where some example of how to 'adapt' the guidelines to a different kind of GEi is already applied.
iii. If still doubts remain, please contact me...

    * One specific note for S3C: we need to organize the catalogue page well, as it will contain reference to different components (and something was already prepared in the past, e.g. for SMS/MMS enabler if I remember correctly. For NetIC: catalogue will have one entry per GEi, i.e. up to four will be described.

2. Completion of Questionnaire from EC. During the WPL/WPA call this morning, it was clarified that we should add one table for each of the GEis we are going to deliver in R2, in addition to those of R1

a. The GEi owners of CDI, (4) NetIC implementations and S3C have to provide their input to the table at link https://docs.google.com/document/d/1f4lBauFu2Tn1Fs6TiWi19_fI-b1-zyRAlUE3z_-Elvg/edit

b. The entries are easy to fill (you'll find one for each I2ND GEi), provided that the catalogue entries have been created.

c. This means that this action should be performed right after completing Action 1 above.

d. Assuming the catalogue entries are available, only two rows need to be filled: 'link to FI-WARE catalogue' and last row 'What is the market position...'

3. Slides for Review Meeting. If you have any input you want to highlight concerning your GE/GEi, please send me one or more slides, I'll work on this in the next few days to prepare the chapter presentation that Hans and me will do in the review (overall, it will last approx. 25 minutes).

4. Use of I2ND GEis in live demo. It would be a very good point if we can add at least one of our GEis in the live demo. One option would be for instance to include CDI and provide geolocation and/or device orientation feature(s) to one of the apps used in the live demo. Another possibility we might consider is providing means to send an SMS through the SMS/MMS enabler of S3C. I'll contact you as soon as I have clarified with the live demo people how this could be achieved, meanwhile please provide any further idea you might have on such a point (taking into account the demo will be next week...).

5. Preparation of Deliverables due by June. As we already announced several times, we have to complete a new round of SW related deliverables by the end of June. The deadline established in the WPL call this morning, is June 28th for all documents ready. This means, a new set of Open specs, Inst/admin manual, User/pgmr manual, Unit Testing unit, along with the SW implementation of course. There are here several situations in I2ND:

a. New Open Specs APIs: you can create them in the i2nd wiki. If current APIs and/or specs need update, please do it in the fiware public one

b. New Inst/admin, User/pgmr , Unit Testing pages: to be created in the fi-ware-private wiki. If current pages need update, please do them in the fiware (or fiware-review) one

c. Please follow and apply carefully the instructions/guidelines, to avoid time consuming review cycles. In case of doubts let me/us know.

d. We'll discuss this more in detail in the I2ND PhC on Thursday
