Oggetto: I: Review of Unit Tests of I2ND

Dear All,

please find attached the review of the Unit Testing Plan wiki pages, which reports the corrective actions that have to be applied.

It is very important, and I already highlighted this in the periodic PhCs we had, that everybody reads carefully the instructions, to make sure that the basic guidelines are applied (and in this kind of document rules are much more precise than for other guides).

I'm perfectly aware that not all the rules can be easily applied to our GE implementations, however try to follow them as much as possible (follow also the comments in the excel sheet)

Some comment on my side:

A)
It is necessary to structure at high level each section as:
. Unit Test n (where n=1, 2, ...)
   .. Tested Features
   .. Test description

B)
More in detail:
. Unit Test n (where n=1, 2, ...)
Despite the fact this is not giving at all a view of what e.g. 'Test 5' contains, it is the format which is adopted for all the GEi descriptions by all chapters, so please adopt it as well.

   .. Tested Features
In this sub-section, the list of Features tested is reported, with a link to the corresponding wiki page. You can also describe e.g. that only some functionality is tested there (like a single User Story, or few methods), and report which one.

C)
You can take a look as correct example at the Unit Testing page of Cloud Edge Release 1, delivered last year at http://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Cloud_Edge_-_Unit_Testing_Plan (Henk, I see that you haven't followed the structuring you were already 'forced' to adopt last year, which turns into the rejection of current description...).

That page is in line with the 'perfect unit testing page' mentioned in the excel sheet, that is: http://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/IaaS_Service_Management_-_Unit_Testing_Plan

D)
I kindly ask all the GEi developers to have a look at the comments concerning their contribution and implement the updates, if there are questions and/or doubts we can discuss them during the PhC tomorrow.

Pier

Pier,

This is my review. I was trusting that the status would be mostly ok and to my surprise I have found this in a very bad shape. Please take action and fix asap. There are even whole GEis who did not deliver. Is it that I have a wrong list?

As it is , I am afraid it is not acceptable for delivery.

Best regards,

Miguel
