[Fiware-i2nd] [IMPORTANT] Legal Notice and Open Specs

Dear all,

In the process of reviewing the Open specs of pending chapters I found that some Legal Notices were wrong. The Legal Notices acceptable to FI-WARE were agreed months ago and no others are allowed.

By default, this is the license we must use:

  *   https://wiki.fi-ware.org/FI-WARE_Open_Specification_Legal_Notice_(implicit_patents_license)<https://wiki.fi-ware.org/FI-WARE_Open_Specification_Legal_Notice_%28implicit_patents_license%29>

In VERY particular cases, we may use this alternative:

  *   https://wiki.fi-ware.org/FI-WARE_Open_Specification_Legal_Notice_(essential_patents_license)<https://wiki.fi-ware.org/FI-WARE_Open_Specification_Legal_Notice_%28essential_patents_license%29>

I anticipate that the "essential patents" will possibly cause future trouble to the ones that go for it, "implicit" is strongly advised in all cases.

Let me be extremely clear: there are no other choices and this was agreed ages ago. Variations are not allowed either. Following the indications of the coordinator, by default I will modify the wrong ones to the preferred one ("implicit") in all the open specs of all the chapters. As in the case of I2ND some partners seems to use a variation of "essential", I will go for the "essentials patent" in these cases.

My review is basically shallow, after 3 passes (2 between WPs and a 3rd one by the coordinator) all I have to do is scroll down to ensure that there isn't anything particularly ugly.

The list of modifications follows:

  *   Removed and "amended"  type of license apparently added by Intel from the list of links and the sections of the doc
  *   Added 2 sections with the licenses at the end of the doc (they are in the links forming the doc but then they are missing as sections)
  *   Format fixes
  *   Some links in the cover pages with fi-ware.eu-> fi-ware.org
  *   Harmonised header/footer
  *   Added a history entry
  *   Changed the date on the cover
  *   2.3  unauthorised license in CDI -- removed and replaced with "essential" as it seems the one they want
  *   3.1    Device Sensors API Introduction  - unauthorised license - removed and replaced with "essential" as it seems the one they want
  *    4.1   Personal Data Services API Introduction  - ditto
  *   7.1   Distributed Compute API Introduction - ditto
  *   8.1   Phone API Introduction - ditto
  *   9.1   Media Consumption API Introduction - ditto
  *   10.1   Off Device Profile API Introduction - ditto
  *   11.1   On Device Profile API Introduction - ditto
  *   12.1    Messaging (SMS) Introduction - ditto

I will  deliver the attached doc with these modifications on Wednesday. You have until then to make any comments. If the WPL authorises me to deliver earlier than than on behalf of WP7, I will gladly do so.
