[Fiware-iot] EPICs completion deadline

Dear all,

Let me introduce myself, my name is Tobias, I joined the NEC lab about two weeks ago and I am going to work in FI-WARE (already took part in the last two phone conferences).

As a newcomer, for my understanding of the GEs it would be very helpful to have more detailed descriptions of the EPICs that are already present in
https://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Materializing_Internet_of_Things_%28IoT%29_Services_Enablement_in_FI-WARE
I have to admit that I have in particular problems to understand the functionality of the GEs and their components in Task 5.3 (Data Handling), because here also in the high-level description document the explanation is not GE by GE.
Or maybe I just did not find the right document containing more explanation - in that case I would be grateful for a hint.

Thanks a lot in advance
Best regards
Tobias

Subject: [Fiware-iot] EPICs completion deadline
Importance: High

Dear All,

I would like to remind everyone that the deadline to complete the EPICs is the end of this month, which means we have only one week left.

Please complete the EPIC lists and improve the EPIC descriptions by the end of this week. Between 3-10 EPICs per GE is expected.

The current EPICs are too high-level, almost like GE = EPIC. The easiest way to create new and more adequate EPICs is following the walkthroughs associated to the GEs. (The walkthrough can be a good description of an EPIC apparently). Have a look at Ricardo's mail (2011.10.13. 16:18), it already contains several new EPICs for the Resource Management chapter.

Best,

Dénes
