Process comments. This would be carried out typically by the owner of the FI-WARE GE Open Specifications. This would imply: * generate a temporary draft by means of accepting/rejecting changes from the commented docx of your specifications * consider general comments in the FI-WARE Peer-review form linked to your FI-WARE GE Open Specifications and introduce changes that you would consider may address them 2. You will generate a new docx by means of implementing step 6 you should upload to the SVN or docman of "FI-WARE Private" and will provide a link to it in column "Revised doc" of the cockpit 3. You will have to update the contents of the public wiki with the contents of the document associated to the revised version So it seems is that both doc and wiki have to be modified. This is an additional work we have to do because the other do not explain how they expect to interact with other GEs but it is also part of the added value we (IoT chapter) provide to Fi-Ware being fully include in the whole architecture. If you cannot coordinate the deliverable creation, you have to find someone to do it in the chapter. IoT will be the last WP to deliver both the Open Specs and the deliverables associated to the SW release. Data is ready to deliver the SW associated deliverables but I will give it a new look tomorrow, just in case. Once I complete this, IoT will be the only pending chapter both in Open Specs and SW manuals. The task for the sw manuals is simple: * Fill in the covers for IoT on * https://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fi-ware-private/index.php/D.X.3-5.1b.submission_cockpit * This is the structure that an automated script uses to generate the deliverable * You have the other chapter as an example - please check them if you have doubts * For assistance we have Andreas who is playing a brilliant role and is the best help we could possibly have (andreas.klein at sap.com). Contact him if you need a tutorial or something. * Also, send me the results of the Unit Tests in word format. It is the last part of the unit tests manual (I forward the old one to clarify what I mean - see the last section ). If the are new GEs or new unit tests, we would expect new lines. Please note that the FI-WARE NGSI Open Specifications (FI-WARE NGSI-9 and FI-WARE NGSI-10) are common to both the IoT and the Data/Context Management Chapter. Therefore, you will find them repeated in the associated deliverables. This is because both deliverables have been developed to be meaningful standalone. From now on you will notice that the consortium has made a big effort to harmonize and improve the format of the deliverables in general to comply with your requirements. Apart form this, the Open Specifications have undergone a deep review of the contents as well as a restructuring that has largely improved the usefulness and readability of the documents. Of course, you can also access FI-WARE Open Specifications in the public FI-WARE wiki: http://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Summary_of_FI-WARE_Open_Specifications Best regards, -- Juanjo Hierro ------------- Product Development and Innovation (PDI) - Telefonica Digital website: www.tid.es email: jhierro at tid.es twitter: twitter.com/JuanjoHierro FI-WARE (European Future Internet Core Platform) Chief Architect You can follow FI-WARE at: website: http://www.fi-ware.eu facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/FI-WARE/251366491587242 twitter: http://twitter.com/FIware linkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/groups/FIWARE-4239932 ________________________________ Este mensaje se dirige exclusivamente a su destinatario. Backend a. Test client and test cases to automatically test the NGSI implementation (this was part of SAP work but where is it today for external parties to test their NGSI implementations?) b. Enable the usage of geographic scope (is it implemented?) c. Type based requests (which type are implemented) d. Support attribute domains (which ones?) 2. Gateway a. Ability to call queryContext NGSI method to access context entities (on going) b. Protocol adapter (EPC, Z-Wave..?) c. Protocol Adapter: translate into a more general format... in the Fi-Ware NGSI model: not implemented) Before to discuss the next steps (2nd major release), we have to clarify these issues. I do not have the context of this thread as I am not a member of IoT and do not attend your calls. But I guess that you refer to the one for M1-M12. It's on the private docman, here: https://forge.fi-ware.eu/docman/view.php/27/1096/FI-WARE-+D.1.2.2+-+Periodic_Peport+-+M1-M12+-+v5.doc Theoretically the WPL automatically adds their people to the private repository. Not very surprisingly, you were not there. I just added you. My advice: first go to the forge and log in. Once logged, copy this URL on your brower and go to this page. What we have done up to now is to create an overview of the places where there are changes that need to be done: https://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fi-ware-private/index.php/Things_Management_GE_splitting_page The page also contains placeholders for the modified pages. The question now is how much of the old Things Management GE to leave in these pages. What we would propose is to bring everything into a status which simulates that the TM GE has never existed, and only mention at certain places that the TM GE now is actually two GEs. Although this might create some confusion, the alternative would be to have some things described in terms of the old GE and other things described in terms of the new GE - where the confusion would be considerably greater, I think. In particular. - All tracker items become associated to one of the new GEs, or both - All Things Management GE features/epics/... become features of one of the new GEs, or of both - In the technical roadmap the release 1 could stay like it is, but the linked features are changed to the new features. - In the catalogue the old TM GE will stay at least until the 2nd release, but the documentation links need to be updated. Please let me know your opinion. Best regards Tobias -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... How people are aware of Backend Things Management GE? First of all we have PO and reviewers and for them it is easy to explain that we split the GE in two new GEs. But for UC projects which are trying to analyse and maybe use the TM GE, it is difficult to delete everything as if TM GE did never exist. I think we have to provide a short introduction to explain that because of NGSI interface and to enhance modularity, the architecture evolves to a new one where components from TM GE are becoming GEs. Providing a short but consistent description of their role in the architecture should allow readers to understand the process; Then a list of dedicated features per GE will completely support this approach and re-design the new GEs. In that way we would be able to keep the Technical Roadmap for the first release and maintain consistency, at least till the end of Phase 1 and projects in phase 2 will be aware only of the new GEs. I just used .split.IoTBroker as a temporary name of the new wiki pages until they are moved to their final places. In case of the two examples you mention below I forgot to add the ".split" part, it is now corrected.
