Hi Carlos, all,

I have completed the doodle with my expected availability. Be aware that tuesday afternoon is the FI-WARE WS at FIA.

Yes, my idea was that maybe right after the workshop would be a good time, therefore I added the timeslot. According to
the high-level agenda now available, the work shops end at 17:00 - anyway, interprete the slot as "after the FI-Ware WS".
We'd have to see if AC1 partners are already available, and it might be an incentive to also get them into the FI-Ware WS.

Is there an information page of these guys activities so we can better define what exactly to discuss and expected results at each side?
Do you have any idea what they want from us or what we could get from them?

The IERC is the Internet of Things European Research Cluster, i.e. it is the cluster of all EU funded research project with a focus
on IoT. From an organizational point of view FI-PPP is separate, but we had one or two FI-PPP use case projects (definitely Smart
Agrifood) participating. The IERC is organized into 9 activity chains (ACs), with different topics. AC1 is focussing on architecture.
Now AC1, and the EU, think that the FI-Ware IoT architecture should be taken into account, compared with other approaches and
synergies should be explored etc. The idea is to have a first exchange of ideas and then see what further directions can be pursued. So this
has a technical as well as a political angle. The EU is interested in creating impact and making use of synergies wherever possible.
There is some pressure for other projects to co-operate with FI-Ware and vice-versa.
AC1 is currently led by the IoT-A project with Alessandro Bassi from Hitachi being the chair and me being his co-chair.

Best regards,

Martin

Hi Martin,

Thanks a lot for bringing up this point and re-sending the original e-mail.

Hi all,

In one of our phone calls a few weeks ago, I proposed to organize a meeting between
the Architecture Activity Chain (AC1) of the Internet of Things European Research Cluster (IERC)
and the FI-Ware IoT Chapter during the Future Internet Assembly (FIA) in Dublin.

Now I would like to know who would be available for such a meeting and when. For this purpose
I set up a doodle. As the exact programme is not yet available, it may have to be somewhat

tentative... Could you please fill out the doodle as soon as possible using your travel plans for FIA as a
basis: http://doodle.com/2mee8paiuaqcc8hv

The exact content of the meeting still needs to be discussed. At least we should have a first
exchange of ideas and then probably some kind of follow-up activities and/or meetings.
If there is no perfect slot, we could also consider meeting during a break, e.g. lunch break ...

Best regards,

Martin
