In it you will find the detailed planning of WP8 to meet M2,M5 and to a great extent M7/M9 milestones. For those of you who attended the WP8 Parallel Session everything should be clear and should already be working according the plans set and agreed. For others who couldn't be there (and despite the fact you may already have been informed by the Lead(s) of the Task(s) to which you contribute to) don't hesitate to contact me in case you would still have questions (especially regarding detailed planning till Month 9 as reported in the slideset). As for the complete set of the slides which were presented at our WP8 parallel session including mine, the ones of task leaders and the ones on assets brought by each partner I was expecting to upload them on the new repository. Being said the new repository is not ready yet and we can't wait any more I will send them to you using another able to cope with the size of the package (email will follow). Last but not least and being said we all have to go according to plans established and settled in the attached slideset for M2 & M5 deliverables I remember you we also established a number of audio conferences to discuss progress and finalize things through physical meetings. Regular audio conf every 2 weeks (20/5/2011 10am-12am: 30/05/2011 10am-12am ) (details to join these audio confs would be sent to you in separate email) Dates of next WP8 Meetings * 03/06/11 (Paris/THA), * 14/09/11 (Sophia-Antipolis/SAP) * 13/10 (13:00am) -14/10 (5pm) (Paris/THA) Counting on you all to book those dates and time-slots in your Agenda. Counting on you to have it done promptly in order to start working using this tool. Best Regards, Pascal -----Message d'origine----- De?: fiware-bounces at lists.fi-ware.eu [mailto:fiware-bounces at lists.fi-ware.eu] De la part de Juanjo Hierro Envoy??: vendredi 13 mai 2011 12:35 ??: fiware at lists.fi-ware.eu Objet?: [Fiware] ACTIONS to be done so that we can start to share documents and other stuff Hi all, This email is to explain you what the are the next steps you should follow to be able to start using the tools for sharing documents, etc. The forge infrastructure associated to the overall FI-WARE collaborative infrastructure has already been set up. This is currently based on FusionForge. FusionForge will provide the basic tool for uploading/publish/downloading documents and attach URLs to them. Here it is the list of steps that we will follow to have everything ready. 1. Registration as users of FusionForge This is pretty simple. You just have to go to: http://forge.fi-ware.eu/ then click on "New Account" in the upper right corner It should drive you to a screen where you will assign yourself a nickname. It should be valid UNIX login name, so that "." are not allowed. I would suggest using "_" instead. You have to fill a form and after doing so, click "Register". Once we do this, you have to check your email (you should provide it in the form) and then complete registration. WPLs are entitled to ask people working in their WPs to perform this step as soon as possible. Please note that maybe not all people are registered in fiware at lists.fi-ware.eu so you should forward this message also to your lists with any other specific instruction you may want to add. 2. Give Admin privileges to WPLs All WPs have a "project" in Fussion Forge. You can already see them listed at: http://forge.fi-ware.eu/ on the right bottom corner under section "Recently Registered Projects" Once WPLs have registered them as users in the Forge, they should send me an email informing about this. Then I will register them as Admin users in the project corresponding to the WP they lead. 3. Give access to partners in each of the WPLs Once WPLs have admin privileges, they should take care of adding the users in FusionForge to their projects. Doing this is also easy. Once step 2 has been completed and you login as users in FusionForge, you may click on your project. Then, you should click on the Admin Tab and then click on the "Users" menu option right below the Tab. It would then allow you to add users to your project. You should ask people working in your WP to let you know what user nicknames they have choosen in FusionForge (although I guess you may easily find them using the "Add Users From List" option. Note that you have to decide what privileges you assign users in your project. You may add more Admins or assign it that of a Senior Developer or Doc Writer, I would suggest. 4. Sharing documents Once you perform the steps above, it should be quite easy to share documents. I will send an email giving a brief tutorial on this. So, please, start performing steps 1 and 2 and make it as quickly as you can so that we can have everything setup asap. I hope you are not experiencing any problem with the mailing lists so far. But I don't see movement in some mailing lists so I'm a bit worried. Please note that maybe not all people are registered in fiware at lists.fi-ware.eu so you should forward this message also to your lists with any other specific instruction you may want to add. Note that registering in FusionForge is a step necessary to perform the following steps and finally be able to get access to private documents uploaded in FusionForge. Then I will register them as Admin users in the project corresponding to the WP they lead as well as in FI-WARE. Pascal Bisson (Security WP), Torsten Leidig (Apps/Services Ecosystem WP), Alex Glikson (Cloud Hosting WP), myself (Data/Context Management WP), Hans Joachim Einsiedler and Pierangelo Garino (I2ND WP) have already registered and have been assigned Admin privileges both in FI-WARE and their WP. Still missing: IoT Services Enablement WP, Exploitation WP and the Developers Community Tools WP. 3. Give access to partners in each of the WPLs Once WPLs get admin privileges, they should take care of registering members of their WP team in their projects as well as the FI-WARE project @ FusionForge. Admins at TID will also help to add them to FI-WARE. There are two ways a given person already registered in FusionForge can join a project as member: * Option 1: * Tell this to your WPL and me by email. Your WPL (or someone from TID for the FI-WARE project) has to go to the space assigned to the project. You can see all available projects at: * http://forge.fi-ware.eu/softwaremap/full_list.php * After navigating to the project he/she manages, the WPL should click on the Admin Tab and then click on the "Users" menu option (right below the Admin Tab) and finally select "Add Users from List". Then he/she just needs to look for the user he wants to register in the project and mark the "Add User" option (you'll see it on the right side). Once he has marked all users he/she wants to add, just needs to click on the "Finish" button * This bring him/her to a screen where he can decide on the role assigned to each selected user (we recommend you to assign a "Senior Developer" rol) and finally click on "Add all" * Option 2: * The partner who wants to join a given project goes to the space linked to that project by clicking on the corresponding URL at: * http://forge.fi-ware.eu/softwaremap/full_list.php * Then the partner goes to the box at the right hand of the screen where the names of Admins and developers of the project are listed and clicks on the "Request to join" link there * The WPL and TID will check requests to join and will approve them when appropriate. Note that WPLs have to decide what privileges you assign users in their corresponding projects. They may add more Admins or assign it that of a Senior Developer or Doc Writer, I would suggest Senior Developer. 4. Sharing documents Once you perform the steps above, it should be quite easy to share documents. I will send an email giving a brief tutorial on this later this evening. ________________________________ Este mensaje se dirige exclusivamente a su destinatario. What happens to you is because: * you have not requested to join the FI-WARE project (you should request joining FI-WARE and the project linked to WPs you are involved in) OR * you have not send an email to your WPL asking him/her to register you in the FI-WARE project (and the project linked to the WP he/she leads) This was explained in my previous message. Probably the easiest method would be the first one. You just need to get access to the project page (through http://forge.fi-ware.eu/softwaremap/full_list.php) and then click on the "Request to join" link you will find on the right side of your screen: [cid:part1.00070202.05070106 at tid.es] Once you request to join, either one of the WPLs or some Admin from TID will grant you access (also explained in my previous mail). Note for the Admins: you should grant access but assigning a "Senior Developer" role. Note that EVERYONE in the world might register in our FusionForge instance (that's the way it works). This ease administration and also enables third parties to approach us. However, only FusionForge users that are registered in a project can access documents labeled as "private" to that project. In the case of the referred documents, we decided to label them as private to the project. New information received by TID was processed. An excel file (see attached file) was produced to start refining each of the asset in terms of a number of facets of interest for the Task and WP. This especially for what concerns functionality offered, interfaces (input/output), scalability .... Thanks to this work a number of questions have been raised and Daniel would call to have them answered with help of the partners and assets' owners. In the meantime some information is still missing regarding assets brought by INRIA (Action for INRIA to provide those descriptions to THALES/Daniel). The work engaged would be pursued to be completed as soon as possible to get clear picture on T8.1 assets and how they could be used together to deliver functionalities targeted by this task. This would also go through some bilateral discussions between Thales and other participants especially TID and ATOS to figure out how some of their SIEM related assets could be coupled. * Report on T8.2 o None of the partners involved in the call were able to report on progress on T8.2 o Action for NSN to report asap progress if any and revive the Task T8.2 team. * Report on Task T8.3 (Antonio) o Some slides had been prepared (although not received by the group at the time of the audio) by Antonio (see attached slideset). After in depth analysis of T8.3 assets it appears clearly that all assets are relevant and there is high complementary between Thales and ATOS assets in view of the objectives of Task T8.3. Regarding USDL-Sec brought by SAP, some short abstract is expected to come from SAP (Action SAP/Slim). Antonio will come up with an excel file (comparable to the one initiated by Daniel) for what concerns T8.3. * Report on Task T8.4 (Slim) o SAP didn't receive any additional description but had some discussions with INRIA (JY-Marion) but need now to engage in discussion with other (INRIA/Olivier) and TRT-UK (OBSCURE/Richard). SAP will circulate by next Monday a template for assets owners to fill in (this to have full understanding of the assets attached to the task - Similar to what has been engaged by Daniel at T8.1 and that need to be generalized to all Tasks). [SAP actions] o SAP continue to interact with WP3 and Use Case project (FINSENY) from Security point of view. 2. Step 2: Pascal reminded objectives of Step 2 (due date 26/05/2011 EOB): * Advance the Security AT vision stated in DoW (Section 1.1.3.7) in terms of targeted functionalities and value-add fo Business, Society, Economy to have those functionalities. Come up with clear definition of terms used, clear statement regarding functionalities targeted and exemplification through Use Case scenarios that speak to Usage areas of the value-add and innovation which may result of them. (Action Task leaders to coordinate to deliver on time 26/05/2011 EOB for WPL and Task leaders to assemble initial draft of WP8 contrib to D2 enf of May) * In addition refine the Security AT architecture as detailed in Section B1.1.4.7 (each Task to revisit and propose amendments if any). (Action Task leaders to coordinate to deliver on time) o Being said WP8 tasks corresponds to the 4 major functional blocks of our architecture it is demanded that each task leader organized the description of each module in sub-module and appoint responsible for sub-sections. (Action for Task leaders to have it done and proposed to WPL and Caretakers by Monday EOB) * All the above work should be performed having the structure of the deliverable in mind (cf. attached file High-level description). Meaning input should be easily mapped to the structure of the document as announced (see document and guidelines provided). (Action for WPL and Caretakers it would be the case) * 3. Reporting on past events * Presence of Pascal in Budapest * PCC members present in Budapest met Megan Richard together with Rainer Zimmerman, Peter Fatelnig, Arian Zwegers) * FI-WARE Steering Board and Architecture Board hold as planned on 19/05/2011 (Waiting for the minutes) * Security WPL not invited at this meeting despite clear demand 4. Next audio moved to next Friday 27/05/2011 (10:00-12:00) Number to call to join would be: +33 1 72 16 96 50 For the time being it has been decided to go for regular audio conf each Friday 10am-12am Physical meeting planned on June 3rd has been cancelled. A doodle would be organized to set the new date Other Actions: 1. SAP - Thales to engage the work on how USDL could be used to describe a security service (take a Thales security asset to exemplify this). [Action Thales-SAP to be engaged asap]. This in order to generalize afterwards to other assets. 2. DTA - to clarify assets that would be brought in the context of T8.4 (also provide textual description according to format expected). Also to interact with SAP on the topic. 3. THA - Organize a doodle to schedule the meeting in Paris (in replacement of the one announced on the 03/06 and cancelled) 4. ALL - to create account on the FusionForge and use it 5. THA - to address issues on the FusionForge to start using it to store/exchange document Counting on you now to perform actions and deliver according to plans. Objective of this meeting would be to assemble the WP8 contribution to D2.1a based on consolidated input from each of the task leaders and resulting from interaction those task leaders would have had with each of the partners associated to their tasks. Obviously the Task consolidated input to D2.1 should cover each of the item to be addressed as per template provided NB: Consolidated document to be reviewed/discussed at this meeting should be sent prior to our meeting (responsibility of each of the Task leader to have it organized and done). Counting now on each of you to fill in the poll and make your duties for what concerns preparatory work. After a first check with Daniel who is leading T8.1 you will find on the repository and at the following address what we came up with for what concerns the GE resulting from T8.1. http://forge.fi-ware.eu/docman/view.php/19/64/FI-WARE+High-Level+Description+25-05-11+v0.1-SecurityAT-THA.doc Of course Daniel as T8.1 lead would now continue the work with support of WP8 partners involved in this task (aka ATOS, TID,FT and INRIA) especially in view of responsibilities defined (so T8.1 partners please check ! get engaged and contribute asap to complete this first draft to be discussed at our next audio - to take place this Friday !). As for tasks T8.2, T8.3 and T8.4 I would ask respectively Robert/Marton/NSN, Antonio/Pedro/ATOS and Slim/Andreas to get inspired by what has been delivered so far for T8.1 and produce similar high-level descriptions of the Generic Security enablers that would result from their tasks. Such input is expected to be provided prior to our audio conference of Friday. This even if as a first draft that would need to be refined (bear in mind here we target a first complete draft based on input of each of the WP8 tasks by end of this month !). Being said so far I haven't seen so many traffic at Task level I hope with this message all task leaders would take necessary steps to revive things and delivered as expected. Counting on the task leaders and each of you to have it done. Talk to you all on Friday (will open the audio conf at 10am sharp ! As you can imagine most of our audio would be to review the initial draft on input document to D2.1a ...). Best Regards, Pascal PS: Please follow instructions (as we did) given by TID in the document (among others notice GE description should not exceed 4-5 pages max !) -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Best regards Daniel De : BISSON Pascal Envoy? : mercredi 25 mai 2011 15:39 ? : Fiware-security at lists.fi-ware.eu Cc : Seidl, Robert (NSN - DE/Munich); gabor.marton at nsn.com; Antonio Garcia Vazquez; Pedro Soria Rodriguez; TRABELSI, Slim; Schaad, Andreas; Michael Osborne; SIEUX Corinne; BISSON Pascal; LELEU Philippe - CLB; GIDOIN Daniel; EGAN Richard Objet : FI-WARE - WP8 - Input document to D2.1a (Check !) Importance : Haute Dear WP8 Collagues, This just to let you that I took the template of D2.1 as provided by TID and started to fill it in for what concerns Generic enabler resulting from T8.1. Nevertheless as a first step I provided the chapter in the attached document as a placeholder. I also copied the relevant text from the DoW to the chapters. Since this can not be handled by NSN alone (deadline end of this month), we are looking for partners feeling responsible for one of the above mentioned enablers. For NSN we could volunteer to take "Identity and Privacy Management". OTHER PARTNERS PLEASE MENTION WHICH ONE YOU WANT TO VOLUNTEER. We will discuss this in our telco tomorrow as well. Goal is having a nearly ready version next Monday EOB, in order to send it for review. After a first check with Daniel who is leading T8.1 you will find on the repository and at the following address what we came up with for what concerns the GE resulting from T8.1. http://forge.fi-ware.eu/docman/view.php/19/64/FI-WARE+High-Level+Descrip tion+25-05-11+v0.1-SecurityAT-THA.doc Of course Daniel as T8.1 lead would now continue the work with support of WP8 partners involved in this task (aka ATOS, TID,FT and INRIA) especially in view of responsibilities defined (so T8.1 partners please check ! get engaged and contribute asap to complete this first draft to be discussed at our next audio - to take place this Friday !). Importance: High Dear WP8 Collagues, This just to let you that I took the template of D2.1 as provided by TID and started to fill it in for what concerns Generic enabler resulting from T8.1.
