Workshop on Ontology and Taxonomies for resilience
The Unit "Trust and Security" of Directorate General Information Society and Media (DG INFSO F5) of the European Commission and the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) and the are jointly organising a workshop with the objective to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas on the subject of resilience.
The event is linked to this year’s ENISA project “Ontology and taxonomies for resilience”, being an attempt to provide a classification scheme for resilience of communication networks. The outcomes of the study and the workshop will serve as a basis of further work on technical standardisation of means for providing and managing resilient networks. The workshop will to cover a number of issues, such as:

 *   The impact of resilience on standardisation activities for future networks;
 *   The regulator viewpoint: Why is resilience critical?
 *   The network operator's viewpoint: Addressing resilience at network planning/dimensioning stage;
 *   The manufacturer's viewpoint: How do resilient equipment strategies impact innovation ?
 *   Technology and Research: What are the latest research outcomes and what are the remaining technological challenges?
We would like to kindly invite you to this workshop, which will take place in Brussels on the 17th of October.
