[Fiware-security] Keystone (openstack identity api) compared to our IDM systems

Ho Pascal, Daniel,

please find attached a comparison of the Openstack Identity api to the IDM enablers provided by DT and NSN.

 

- project is written in python à no integration into java frameworks

- uses proprietary protocol à no standardised protocol like saml, oauth2, ...

- meant only for deployment in the cloud

- can be bound to PAM, SQL, ... but not to telco specific components like HLR

- no "authentication pipeline", supports (afaik) only username+password, no other authentication mechanisms supported

- no message security à no signature, certificates

- solution is less finished à more complex 

- support issues à help "on the chat"

- UI dashboard is not so advanced vs. IDM system.
