Objet : Reminder - Deadline for Call for Papers on 25th June 2012 at the Annual Privacy Forum

Madame, Sir,

We encourage you to participate at the conference The Annual Privacy Forum 2012 (APF’2012) and to contribute to the call for papers. We would like to remind you that the deadline for submitting papers expires on 25 June.

The Unit "Trust and Security" (F5) of the European Commission's Directorate General Information Society and Media (DG INFSO) and the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) are organizing the Annual Privacy Forum 2012 (APF’2012) http://www.privacyforum.eu/ <http://www.privacyforum.eu/> , a two day event with the objective to provide a forum to academia, industry and policy makers in the field. The 2012 first edition will take place at Limassol on the 10th and 11th of October 2012 and will be hosted by the Department of Computer Science of the University of Cyprus.

The main objective of the EC and ENISA is for the Forum to evolve into an annual event that will foster the dialogue between the policy, research and industrial communities, in one phrase ‘closing the loop from research to policy’. We are very pleased that our initiative has already attracted the support of well-known experts in the field of privacy and trust. This is also reflected by the fact that the conference is organised under the auspices of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU during the second half of 2012.

We are convinced that APF’2012 offers an opportunity for your project since it addresses an area that is increasing for importance to EU citizens and policy makers as well as the industry of online services. It is therefore an excellent occasion to disseminate your research to policy and industrial stakeholders.

Please find more details in the attached document. For any further information please feel free to contact me: martin.muehleck at ec.europa.eu

Martin Mühleck
