[Fiware-security] FI-WARE - WP8 - URGENT - Perform D10.3 Actions requested (as per AP7)

Dear Task leads/GE owners,

This email is mainly intended to each of the Task leads and owners of GEs in scope of First Major Release but also of interest to All (at first place owners of GEs to come for subsequent Major Releases …).

Here I would like to remind them that as per Action Point 7 of minutes of last audio conference, they were supposed as per demand of WP10 “Testbed” in the context of D10.3 (Integration testplan for V1)  to check/amend/complete GE dependencies [aka dependencies of Security GEs with respect to other GEs of that chapter or other chapters] for what concerns First Major Release of FI-WARE.
So far I must say after a quick scan I perform on the dedicated page of the Wiki that nothing has been done expect for what concerns Security Monitoring GE where Task 8.1 did something (at least gave it a try which was good so thanks Phong!). This despite the fact that what to do was clearly stated in the minutes of WP8 audio conference of 04/05/2012 (see minutes on Security folder on the FI-WARE Repository).
As such I would like here each of the task leads to perform the following actions (this in close cooperation of owners of GE attached to their task):

1.      Check/amend/complete GE dependencies which have been reported on the wiki page devoted to the Security Chapter and created by WP10 (https://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/testbed/index.php/Security,_Privacy_and_Trust_-_Test_Cases_-_V1)

*         Here you will see the following dependencies have been reported by WP10

*   Declared Dependencies
 Context based security & Compliance GE_Atos→Apps(Marketplace)
(DataHandling_SAP→Internal(Privacy, IDM) - not relevant for V1, rather V2!)
SecurityMonitoring_Thales→Internal(SSS)
SecurityMonitoring_Thales→Cloud(CMDB)
SecurityMonitoring_Thales→Data(Cep)

*         NB: This is outdated information coming from interviews initially performed by WP10 that each of the task lead has to review/amend/complete if any focusing on not all declared/anticipated dependencies but only the ones we can test in the context of the First Major Release of FI-WARE (e.g. Being said Context-based security & Compliance is planned for release 2 it should not appear here, same applies to DataHandling ->Privacy being said Privacy is also planned for release 2. As such this is the responsibility here of each of the Task lead with support of GE owners and on their behalf to only declare dependencies that can be tested in scope of First Major Release. Here there might be some to remove but possibly also to add (up to task lead to decide and report). (The Declared Dependencies should reflect here all GEs couples to put  under test for First Major Release - V1).

2.      For the tasks having declared some dependencies that could be tested for V1 First Major Release I would ask them with support of GE owners concerned to come up with description of the test cases to be conducted.

*         NB: Here we are talking about test cases about GE dependencies and not test case to test one GE or asset in isolation. This is here why the test cases  provided by Thales for Security Monitoring even if good doesn’t meet the demand per se and as to be re-considered. Here what would have been relevant but this will come for Second Major Release would have been to describe a test case for Security Monitoring calling CEP GE and/or Big Data GE.

Please all task leads (THA,NSN, ATOS, SAP) perform actions 1 & 2 asap and before next Monday 21/05 EOB (set as deadline by WP10 lead to review). Don’t also hesitate to have a look at what has been done by other chaper such Apps (https://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/testbed/index.php/Application_and_Services_Ecosystem_and_Delivery_Framework_-_Test_Cases_-_V1) and use this as additional guidance to figure what to do.
Focus is here to investigate and only go for test cases relevant and attainable in view of GE planned to be release for V1 - First Major Release. If there is none that can be conducted fine but investigate and don’t miss any we could afford that’s the challenge here!

Hope It’s now crystal clear counting on each of the task leads now to perform the actions according to set deadline.
