Dear All,

sorry for not participated in the call today (on illness). However I've paid attention to the mail exchange between TID and ENG regarding the test-bed by red.es and even if the reports it seems to be positively evaluated, I would attract your attention to the fact that the 3 real servers with insufficient HW/SW armor assaulted by 40GE (or even less) will require a certain organizational extraforce for workaround over workaround.
I mean that I don't see it feasible to host all our GEs available to be installed on these machines at the same and also the installation of that stuff at the same time will pose a great risk of malfunction, conflicts and disrupts. We may plan and do it one-by-one, planned time per each GE to be installed configured and then frozen and extracted as a VM image. However I have a great doubt that that image, if possible, will work once rolled-out in a real test-bed environment. I believe the summary time expense of this entire solution consisting of preparation of the GEs' VMs  + making these VMs working in the target test-bed will be not less, or even more, then wait until the testbed ready, or find an alternative solution just in time, and install everything there in the target testbed.

I believe the best way is:

-          To be pragmatic;

-          To revaluate our timelines and milestones;

-          Be ready for the worst case if the initial deadlines will fail by red.es

-          And finally perform all the installation, configurations, etc. in a real healthy and sufficient test-bed infrastructure.
