Hi, Just a small (but I guess important) detail. Red.es will setup a virtual LAN that will connect their facilities in Madrid (therefore, the servers they will provisionally let us to use) with the places where servers will be hosted for the FI-WARE Testbed. This will make things a lot easier since it will not matter whether a server is in Madrid or some other datacenter. I have little time so I will go straight to the point: 1) TIMING =============================== The public administration is always slow buying things. I have been told that all is waiting for the approval of the legal department and then it would go to the formal signature + publication. After then, there are a number of steps. I will not provide intermediate details, as they are irrelevant, the conclusion of all the info I have is that we would wait for 1,5 months more, which is too much. We have asked for a provisional solution and they have obliged. 2) CONTINGENCY PLAN =============================== Until we have the definite infrastructure, we will use a provisional one located in Madrid. We will have three identical servers, with 8GB of RAM, almost 1TB of RAID disks. They will be accessible at the beginning of next week. The machines will be configured with a service interface to gigabit ethernet and an ILOM management interface. We will have access to the management interface to be able to manage the functionality of Remote KVM, and Virtual Media to install the software on the machines. I enclose the datasheet they have provided for the provisional servers(in Spanish). I searched on the internet and it seems a translation from his one (I would compare to make 100% sure it but I have no time now!).: * http://www.essiprojects.com/documents/DocsTecnics/SUN/Sun_Fire_X4150.Datasheet.pdf Hope this clarifies a bit the situation.
