I thought of such approach a few days ago and I dismissed it because it is a bit risky. When I think of using list "x" because I think that I will find the people interested in a given subject, I will possibly forget to consider whether to CC the list of the "escapees" or not. This in my personal case. But if I see the general case, most people will even ignore that this lists exists (even if I send a warning to the general list and a reminder a month later). In practice, the ones leaving now would miss important pieces of information. I am afraid that the ones who decided to leave will have to live with this.

I suggest one thing: add ONE list for the companies that left on the 1st of May so you can have a “specialized fast communication channel” with us (81 lists instead of 80 is probably manageable ;-)

It makes sense but see the other side of this ... I personally manage > 80 lists and this would happen in many of them. I feel reluctant to duplicate them and manage them separately. If the WPL decides to do so, I will create a new one but I would rather suggest that those not so interested should create e-mail filters taking these messages to a dedicated folder and take a look from time to time. This is what I do with many lists and it seems to work well.

It is important to keep us (the ones that left) into the loop for important stuff but not for everyday/week issues. What about splitting the distrib lists (1: still active, 2: to be informed (left)) ???

As all we know, attending the WP10 weekly call is mandatory and each partner has to :
1) Send a representative
2) Effectively disseminate the messages in his organization afterwards - attending s not enough
Having said that, I took a look at the mailing list and I believe that they are not there. Maybe we should get in touch with WP13, let them know this and add a representative or more per company to the list. Also, we should convey that they should be joining every week. I am not completely sure if they are aware of this, maybe they are, I do not know.

There is a practical problem that did not show up until we incorporated the partners from Open Call 2. Powwownow does not seem to cover Finland. The first time we encountered this problem is when we had a meeting to comment on the review results and the cost cuts by the EC, they seemed unable to join (even using an international number that should work from anywhere).
I would suggest to take advantage of the experience in WP13 with our Finnish colleagues and see what they've done. Apparently they use https://www.freeconferencecall.com and lean on google hangouts if needed (possibly not our case)
Christof, can you please let us know how it is best to deal with conference calls with Finnish partners? I assume that you bumped into the same problem months an months ago ...
