Dear partners,
this week I've participated to the FI-PPP Architecture Board that
has been held in Madrid.
The "FI-WARE High-Level Description" document, available here:
https://forge.fi-ware.eu/docman/view.php/7/232/FI-WARE+High-Level+Description+integrated+draft+0.1+11-07-06.pdf
has been presented to the Use Case projects.

It basically contains, starting from the DoW, a more detailed
description of the Generic Enablers,
the features they support, the architecture approach at the base. I let
you directly look at
the document because, even if it's quite big, I think it's useful for
our tasks.
Some comments and questions have been raised by the participants and
they will be taken into account
for the next version of the document. I report here some of those:
- it has to better explained how cross features like Security and
Monitoring are available to the others GEs
- it's not clear from the document how much is already available and
what has to be developed
- the monitoring features should be available also to the
application/service level (for example to address SLA monitoring)
Once the official meeting minutes will be available, I'll notify you.

During the meeting it has been planned that the next important deadline
is end of September (M5)
that's for the gathering of user stories and requirements from the Use
Case projects and these inputs
are for the Generic Enablers providers.
Nothing has been explicitly said for what concern our goals (FI-WARE
WP9) but we have to remind that
the Use Case projects are our end users as well, and at the end, they
should be supported by our tools
for the development of application and services based on FI-WARE Enablers.

Right in these days our document (FI-WARE DevComE Technical description
v1.0.pdf) is in the hands
of the Technical Coordinator for his validation and hopefully in the
next days he will circulate it to the other
workpackage leaders.
While waiting for comments, I propose to define a questionnaire for
collecting requirements from the other
WPs and if it's the case involve the Use Case projects as well. We could
ask, as first round, to the WPs
about technical and usage aspects and, as a second round, ask to the Use
Case projects for validation
and for, eventually, missing aspects.

Let's open the debate :-)

We also had a presentation of the Agilefant
tool(http://www.agilefant.org/), that will allow to track
the user stories, epics and themes along all the project phases. It
should be available by the end of this month.

BR,
     Davide.
