As WP9 leader we are responsible to ensure that all activities performed and main achievmentes in WP9 are fully described in the PPR. Since this Periodic Report will cover the 2nd year of the project, from M13 to M24 (May 2012 - April 2013), we ask to each partner to start from the previous PPR, the D1.2.3 submitted @M18 and update/modify it by adding new activities done, progresses towards objectives any other needed info. Please refer to the attached document, which reports, for convenience, the part related to WP9 described in the previous D1.2.3 submitted. Please consider also that we'll have to integrate your contributions before sending to the coordinator, so I kindly ask you to send the updated document within the end of this week, in order to have at least a couple of days to review it. Thank you in advance for your understanding. Please feel free to contact me any doubts you may have. To avoid risks with the production resources, we think that separate environments need to be provided. For doing that we will integrate our cloud infra as a datacenter of the testbed. Indeed, this was one of thing that I found had to be fixed in the previous version of the WP10 description. If you take a look to the description of Task 12.4, which is there since the very first DoW, you will find: Training material will be generated in WP03-WP10 and used in specific events such as the FI-WARE developer's day. This will allow communities to be involved in the training process on a continuous basis, thus helping others to use the results of the project, including, but not restricted to usage area projects. Training material will include but will not be limited to: * A set of training resources primarily composed of PowerPoint slide sets which may be used as training workshops organized around the FI-WARE Testbed. * A selected number of tutorials using some sort of webcasting technology. This will typically involve production of online streaming webcasts in a format which links the video footage of a speaker with the presented PowerPoint slides. Somehow, it was considered that training material should be generated in the WPs itself while coordination of training activities (e.g., Developers' days but we may also consider the Architects Weeks or the webinars organized for UC projects) would be considered in task 12.4. Apparently, when you generated the previous version of WP10, you were not aware that coordination of the generation of training material was already considered as part of Task 12.4 since the very first DoW. That's what Miguel told me. It was clear that you wanted to make it explicit that responsibility of task 10.5 was only to "offer pointers" and this was something I agreed to, but fixing reference to the tasks where coordination of the elaboration of the training material, as well as organization of webinars, etc, will take place, which should not be any task in WP10 (as you originally proposed) but task 12.4 as considered in the original DoW Cheers, -- Juanjo ------------- Product Development and Innovation (PDI) - Telefonica Digital website: www.tid.es email: jhierro at tid.es twitter: twitter.com/JuanjoHierro FI-WARE (European Future Internet Core Platform) Coordinator and Chief Architect You can follow FI-WARE at: website: http://www.fi-ware.eu facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/FI-WARE/251366491587242 twitter: http://twitter.com/FIware linkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/groups/FIWARE-4239932 On 15/05/13 10:30, Sandfuchs, Thorsten wrote: Hi Andrea, Juanjo Sorry for not finding time to comment here earlier - I think there is a small _editorial_ problem in the task-description of 10.5: This task will also offer Usage Areas pointers to specific documentation and dedicated training resources that may help them to setup and configure as well as to operate FI-WARE GEi instances. UPM is working on the "core" wiki structure. Ongoing. * Widgets adaptation/implementation. UPM is working on it. You can see a snapshot following this link. * Store and marketplace adaptation and integration. UPM is working on it .Ongoing. * History element implementation. Currently, UPM has developed a first implementation using Node.js that makes queries to the Pub/Sub Context Broker and saves the power status history of lamps into a MySQL database. The module also has a Rest API that can be use to query the power status history of a lamp. * Object Storage integration (based in a similar case from ENVIROFI demo). UPM is working on it. Ongoing. * Backend Device Management (IDAS) integration.(including actual sensor data from OutSmart). IDAS is ready to be integrated, pending to define the details in the testbed. * CEP integration. ContextBroker->CEP integration is clear in terms of format/messages. CEP->ContextBroker is still under definition. Working on it in a team with TID, IBM and UPM. * PaaS Manager integration. Chef receipts for deploying ContextBroker GE are ongoing. Chef receipt for deployment user application are ongoing. We plan to have progress on this by the end of the week. * API Access Control: pending of having all the components integrated. * Usage of the Location Platform from WP6. Plan to integrate a simulation of a route and update the position of various mobile users. Need to test coordinates compatibility. It requires to implement a light NGSI-Location API adhoc adaptor. Hi Davide, I have received access to a (the?) live demo machine in the test bed. Its CentOS 6.2 OS does not have neither tcpdump nor SAR installed. On the machine I am looking at I have installed tcpdump; please make sure that the machine we'll be using for the demo has these installed. The demo for Trace Analyzer as I see it at the moment is: 1. Run tcpdump and/or SAR on the test machine whilst Context Broker, CEP or other GEs are running on a workload. Using the internal Trace Analyzer remote mechanism is meant to be used from a C/C++ project under Eclipse on its binary. It doesn't seem that we will have this in our scenario. 2. FTP/SCP the trace file(s) to the demo machine; the one with the Eclipse with Trace Analyzer. 3. Load the file 4. Show the network sessions created by the workload (for tcpdump) and CPU usage, disk usage, OS call, etc - whichever we see that shows "interesting" graphs (for SAR) Marcel From: Davide Dalle Carbonare To: Yosu Gorro?ogoitia , Cc: "fiware-tools at lists.fi-ware.eu" Date: 30/05/2013 03:08 PM Subject: Re: [Fiware-tools] Action point reminder ...
