From MARCEL at il.ibm.com Fri Nov 1 02:07:36 2013 From: MARCEL at il.ibm.com (Marcel Zalmanovici) Date: Fri, 1 Nov 2013 10:07:36 +0900 Subject: [Fiware-tools] Publishing the Tools on the Catalogue In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Hi Pedro, The tools as were entered in the http://130.206.80.235 catalogue can be moved as is to the production catalogue. Regarding the terms and conditions - copy what each tool already has entered. IBM's got the IP approval; I assume this is the same for the other partners. Marcel From: Pedro Rodriguez To: "fiware-tools at lists.fi-ware.eu" , Date: 31/10/2013 07:21 PM Subject: [Fiware-tools] Publishing the Tools on the Catalogue Sent by: fiware-tools-bounces at lists.fi-ware.eu Dear all, In the last conference, we discussed publishing the new Tools section of the Catalogue in the production environment. Before doing that we have to agree on the final configuration we want. I?ll summarise what there is in the development Catalogue right now: Tools are created using the same procedure as a Generic Enabler but selecting the ?Tools? Chapter, an empty tool has the following tabs: (Format Tab name - default text) - Overview - mandatory - Documentation: No documentation is available for this enabler If you are the administrator of this enabler, please edit this page to add documentation. - Downloads: There are no downloads available for this enabler. - Instances: There are no instances of this Generic Enabler yet. - Terms and Conditions: No terms and conditions are available for this content. If you are the administrator of this content, please edit this page to add the terms. NOTE: There is a base text for the terms and conditions provided by TID that was distributed to GE Owners via email ?????????????????????? So, in the development instance, the only difference is the Creating Instances tab that I was asked to remove. In my opinion, the parts that make less sense for the Tools are the ones about instances. Furthermore, the Tools already in the Development Catalogue don?t use the Instances tab. My recommendation at this point is to port this to the new Catalogue without the ?Creating Instances? or the ?Instances? tab. No additional ?default? text is needed, only changing ?enabler? for ?enabler/tool? in some cases. The only minor issue to discuss is how to provide the Terms and Conditions compared to the GEs (Do we use the text provided by TID?) This would be quite fast to implement in the Production Catalogue. Please tell me what you think or if you prefer to discuss this in the next conference call. Cheers, -- Juanjo -------- Original Message -------- Subject: FI-WARE Project extension Date: Sat, 02 Nov 2013 13:39:06 +0100 From: Juanjo Hierro To: Arian.ZWEGERS at ec.europa.eu CC: jhierro >> "Juan J. Hierro" Dear Arian, As already commented to Jesus and you, we have opened a thread of discussion within FI-WARE about an extension of 4 months to the project in line with the recommendation given in the last review report. In order to give a definitive answer, some partners are asking for some elaborated answer to the following questions: 1. What kind of activities are foreseen during the extended period ? Would they only be related to support, dissemination and training ? 2. Will a given FI-WARE GEi owner be able to chose between a) closing its contribution to FI-WARE GE Open Specifications and its FI-WARE GEi development activities as already planned in the DoW (i.e., delivering updated GE Open Specifications as well as GEi software, testing plans and related documentation in month 33, that is end of January) or b) delay them to be in month 36 ? Ability to choose would be certainly useful, because some GEi owners can adapt to the extension provided that a delay in deliverables is approved, while others can live with the extension but provided that they can close their activities in the dates originally planned in the DoW. Telefonica, as coordinator, doesn't see any problem allowing a partner to close its activities as planned in the DoW. Just to avoid any burden we most probably would submit all the mentioned deliverables in month 36 (despite some partners would submit them internally at month 33) 3. Could month 36 be preserved as the date for submission of deliverables in WP11 (exploitation) ? 4. Could month 40 be defined as the date for submission of deliverables linked to WP12 (communication, collaboration and dissemination) ? 5. Can partners assuming a WPL or WPA role discontinue that role in month 36 if another partner is ready to take over their role until the end of the project ? Could you please answer these questions ? This and any other information that may be helpful to understand what the extension will mean in terms of workload would be certainly helpful to reach an agreement within the consortia as we would love to during this upcoming week. All your contributions were integrated and reviewed for the text formatting and the content. In particular, I kindly ask to check for some COMMENTS REPORTED INSIDe related to sentences that were deleted. This was done WRT to activities that were not performed during the reporting period, but foreseen for the next one. Since this report must focus on work actually done during the past six months, we kindly suggest to review that part(s) of the text (highlighted by comments) and/or decide whether to accept or not the deletion of those statements. Furthermore, as you will read, in the general section of the D1.2.5, describing the overall WP9 progresses, were not listed in details all the results achieved by partners. This is because all of you provided a well detailed description at task level, and was a bit redundant to double report the list of results also in the general section. Kindly let us know if you do agree on this set up of the PPR. As for the DEADLINE, please have a check to the whole document and provide your feedback no later than MONDAY 11TH, since if further changes are required, we would need additional time to review and integrate you comments. Many thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. Best regards Laura -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... There is not a particular reason. Planned activities were performed consuming slightly lower resources. The actual activities do not consume resources in a linear manner. As you may understand, estimating the efforts required by activities in a R&D scenario (even in any other) can not be so precise as consider a 0.48 PM deviation as noticiable. This delta will be used by us in next period to perform remaining activities with an extra that could be very helpful. I highlight the most important points and deadlines. 1) *by Nov 28th* Every partner to send (to the list, please) its personal plan for the next months highlighting the involvement by Task and deliverable. Describe if your plan depends on the project extension and how it may change your plan. In summary, the proposal is: D9.1 - until the end of the project (M36 or M40) D9.2 - M36 D9.3 - M33 D9.4 - M33 2) *by Nov 30th* publish/update your entries in the Catalogue with all the info you want to make available to reviewers. Consider that it takes time to validate the contents, do not wait the very last minute. I keep you updated about the possible reply to send to the PO, I'm waiting the reply from Juanjo. cheers, Davide On 26/11/2013 09:39, Davide Dalle Carbonare wrote: > the link to the minutes > > https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ba8zJWGJnxLU62UOoKIvVtDoRBL-1nC-Ux3do7_R6As/edit?usp=sharing > > > I'm still preparing the content for the call ... please incorporate > the topics you need to discuss > > BR > Davide > > On 26/11/2013 08:42, Davide Dalle Carbonare wrote: >> Dear All, >> this is to remind you our conference call, today, at 11.00 CET. >> >> kind regards, >> Davide >> _______________________________________________ >> Fiware-tools mailing list >> Fiware-tools at lists.fi-ware.eu >> https://lists.fi-ware.eu/listinfo/fiware-tools >> >> > > _______________________________________________ > Fiware-tools mailing list > Fiware-tools at lists.fi-ware.eu > https://lists.fi-ware.eu/listinfo/fiware-tools > > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
