Special Issue on Security and Identity Architecture for the Future Internet

As the Internet is hitting its limits, its successor is being discussed
in different fora such as the Next Generation Internet (NGI) and the
Future Internet Assembly (FIA). Government funding programs have been
established for instance in Europe, Japan, Korea, and the US to foster
the research addressing challenges of future networks including
scalability, mobility, service provisioning, and, in particular,
identity management. One crucial requirement for any solution is that
security and privacy be an integral part of the design. We invite
authors to submit original research and review articles that explore
different identity aspects to address the limitation of the Internet
and/or offer potential solutions and models for the design of future
networks where security and privacy are built-in.

Potential topics regarding security and identity include, but are not
limited to:

Development and testing of novel and effective advanced
architectures for the Future Internet
Development of new strategies for Future Internet models
   Information-centric networking (ICN) approaches
   Experiences with deployment and testbeds
Future Internet architectures’ resiliency and trustworthiness
"Clean-slate" multi-disciplinary research on new architectures
   Internet of Things

Submissions will be judged based on their originality, novelty, and
quality. Submissions must not substantially overlap with papers that
have previously published or are currently submitted for publication.

Important dates
Paper submission: 15-03-2012

Acceptance notification: 15-07-2012

Final papers: 15-10-2012
