Hi,

  The attached email may have arrived to you forwarded by your WPL, but given the relevance, I'm also forwarding it now directly to all of you.  Please read the attached email because I believe it's quite relevant for the FI-WARE GE owners who are supposed to deal with organization of webinars.

  Another point on the matter I believe it's worth to remind.   As already stated from the very beginning, it's up to the FI-WARE GE owner to decide what tools to use to carry out the webinar.   We decided not to go for a single tool to be used in all webinars, imposed from management, because we believe it would only make things more difficult for you.   We thought it was is preferable that each FI-WARE GE owner uses the tool (bridge, sharing tools) s/he knows better and is used to.   Otherwise, we should have had to organize training sessions on the tool selected, etc.

  Of course, if someone doesn't have anything they can provide, s/he may go for using powwonow for the audio and http://join.me for sharing the screens.   This are free tools we have found very useful and work well enough.  But, again, it's up to you.

Hi all,

  What has happened regarding the webinar on the Semantic Annotation GE (see below) is a good example of what we have to avoid by all means.

  Another one or two cases like this, and we are done regarding this point, and I REMIND YOU THIS WAS ONE OF THE CHECKPOINTs BY THE REVIEWERS.   One I thought it was going to be rather eassy to cover, btw, but of course if we were going to pay the necessary attention.

  Please, take care and follow-up the planning of webinars in your chapter.   Otherwise, this may become a total disaster.

  I also remind you that Arian told me he wanted the reviewers to attend some webinars.   Can you imagine if they had decided to attend one webinar where FI-WARE GE owners do not attend ?

According to the Google spreadsheet now is the time for the Webinar about Semantic Annotation: A primer.
Yet there is no information about how to access it.
There is no date and time for a second webinar on this topic.
What do we do?

Dear colleagues,

  As we already agreed during our FI-PPP AB meeting in September, it would be now the right time to plan a number of sessions, each focus on one of the available FI-WARE GE Reference Implementation (RI) products, where developers can receive a more detailed and technical tutorial about the FI-WARE GE RI product.

  Therefore, the FI-WARE team has planned a number of webinars that we hope the UC projects can join.   You can find the dates and times scheduled for these seminars at the following shared spreadsheet in Google Docs:

  As you can imagine, agreeing on dates and times would be virtually impossible in a short time frame, so what we have adopted as an approach is to propose two dates per webinar so that you have more choices.  Hopefully, one of the two dates&times we propose will be suitable to you (nothing prevents you to repeat and attend both dates&times if you haven't had enough :-)    Contents of the two webinars would be exactly the same (so the second is not the continuation of the first).    What we would need is that you fill the column associated to your project and declare how many people plan to attend the webinar at each of the proposed date&times.    If we found that nobody is planning to attend a given date&time and the date is approaching, we may cancel that and propose a new date.   The goal is to celebrate at least two webinars per FI-WARE GE RI by end of this year.

  The date&time for the two webinars is already programmed for all the FI-WARE GE RIs with the exception of those in the IoT Chapter, but we plan to get the dates for FI-WARE GE RIs of this chapter along this week so please stay tuned.

  Now the AP to you :-)   Could you please complete the information about attendance on the side of your project by EOB this Friday ?   That would be rather great.
