Hi all,

First of all, I would like to congratulate the FI-WARE project for the achievements of last week in the Future Internet Assembly held in Athens. Let me summarize main activities where FI-WARE was involved in the context of such event:

* FI-WARE, FI-LAB and FI-OPS were presented in a pre-FIA workshop titled: "Future Internet boosting Creativity in Europe: scaling platforms, data, tools, services and communities". The idea was to tell how FI-WARE could contribute to the creative industry and initiate some collaborations. You can find further details in https://www.fi-athens.eu/program/workshops/future-internet-boosting-creativity-europe-scaling-platforms-data-tools-services. Thank you very much to Stefano for replacing me in the session. You did a great job!

* FI-WARE was the project leading the organization of the FI PPP session formally approved by the programme committee.
o We had two panels, one more focused on the technology offering that I moderated with the contributions of panelists like Thomas Bohnert representing FI-WARE and FI-LAB; Maurizio, as XIFI coordinator, who presented FI-OPS, Federico Álvarez, explaining the INFINITY offering, Susanna, representing ICT Labs and finally Federico Facca, this team wearing the "hat" of the city of Trento. I think the panel was good.
o The second panel focused more on the business impact on different sectors and therefore it was based on the statements by Use Case projects. I think that videos of the FI-STAR project were especially illustrative. The panel was moderated by Milon, from Eurescom.
o Further info can be found in https://www.fi-athens.eu/program/sessions/fi-driven-digital-business-innovation-only-limit-your-imagination. We will provide a report on the session in the short term and presentations will be uploaded by the organizers in the coming days.

* I had the opportunity to present FI-WARE, FI-LAB and FI-OPS to the Member States in the FIF (Future Internet Forum), a private meeting organized by the EC (Mario Campolargo, Jesús Villasante, Ragnar and other POs an EC representatives were there). I think it went very well and we will get a specific work plan elaborated by the EC to take further steps.
o One of the conclusions of this meeting is that the EC will try to convince MS to invest in FI-WARE and provide national funding to promote the use of our technologies. For this purpose I will send a separate e-mail to WPL/WPA, but please, all partners in the project, come back to me with the names of the funding agencies in your countries that could be contacted for this purpose. This is an urgent request by the EC that I got today, but they would like to have a list ready by Friday. I am sorry for the short notice.

* Finally, we managed to set up a nice booth thanks to the material prepared by Ogilvy. Thanks to the Ogilvy team and Carlos for the collaboration in the preparation phase and 1000 thanks to Pier and the other colleagues for the great support at the stand. A lot of people came to make questions and we got some offers for collaboration. I will point you to some pictures as soon as they are available.

Now, let's use this learning experience to do it even better in the next promotion opportunity, which will be, as you know, the ECFI event in Brussels (2-3 April).

As you know, no fee is needed anymore. You can find information about the event in http://www.ecfi.eu/brussels2014/, but I will come back to you on this.

Thanks again!!!
