It contains an overview of addresses and practical information for the conference, the social event and the Techno-brunch on the second day.

Dear participant,

Thank you very much that you registered for the European Conference on the Future Internet - ECFI, which will start in Munich tomorrow, 17 September.

On behalf of the organising committee, I would like to give you some practical information.

The conference and exhibition venue on day 1 is:

Technical University Munich
Research Center Garching
Fakultät Mathematik/Informatik (faculty for mathematics and informatics) Boltzmannstr. 3 (please note that on the website until recently no. 15 was given by mistake)

If you come from the airport, it is advisable to take a taxi. Using public transport could cost  plenty of time, as you would have to go to Munich city centre first and then go out again via metro. The airport is quite close, but there is no direct train or metro connection.

If you come via Munich central station or from a hotel in the city centre, the metro is an option. Take line U6 in the direction Garching-Forschungszentrum from Marienplatz City Center and get off at the final stop, Garching-Forschungszentrum.

The on-site registration at the Garching venue will be open today (Tuesday, 16 September) from 16:00 to 18:00 and tomorrow (Wednesday, 17 September) from 08:00

The conference in Garching on day 1 will end at 17:00.
For getting to the venue of the awards and networking at Hofbraeuhaus in the city center (the event starts at about 17:30), we provide a bus transfer directly from Garching. The buses will be close to the entrance of the Garching event location.

If you plan  to go directly to Hofbraeuhaus, here is the address:

The address is close to Marienplatz City Center.

On the 2nd day, the SME training day will take place in Garching at the same venue as the conference/exhibition on day 1.

If you attend the Techno Brunch, the address is as follows:
BMW World
Am Olympiapark 1
80809 Munich

For getting to BMW World, you can take metro line U3 from Marienplatz City Center to the direction of Moosach and get off at the stop Olympiazentrum.

Major parts of the event will be live streamed. Please let anyone who might be interested and cannot attend know. The live stream will be directly available from the ECFI Munich home page at http://www.ecfi.eu/munich2014/  where you will also find further information about the programme and the speakers.
