Hi Juanjose and Manuel,

What is the idea to send us all these messages? This makes only chaos and no
sense. Please do your job as pre-filter to not overwork us all.

Dear all,

I am approving all the blocked messages in a few minutes and you then will
get a little bit of a shower from fiware-acceleration-help at lists.fi-ware.org

Note that part of the messages have an old date and they may get lost in the
inboxes with many messages.

Anyway, I've tried to summarise the best I can the info that you need to
start working.

1.-Mailing list:

*         Admin password: support2accelerate  (use it wisely!)

You can agree on a new password and change it yourselves. Please note that
if any of you change it, it will block the access from the other so act
coordinately.

know it is not difficult because I got presented with several lists like
these 3 years ago (knowing nothing about mailman) and I managed to
administrate it successfully. Google has multiple tutorials, anyway.

2.-JIRA Project (public)

Note that both the archive of the mailing list and JIRA are public. I assume
that the info you provide is not private for a user, the info from one case
can benefit others. This could be changed if needed.

We need a contact to make it the responsible person for this tracker.
Theoretically, this one would dispatch the tickets.

We will send a JIRA user per project shortly, this does not stop answering
the cases. 

Things you need to know

Typical Scenario:

a)      A person send a message to the mailing list

b)      The list distributes the message. As subscribers, all of you get it 

c)       The e-mail gets to JIRA as well. This generates a ticket.

d)      If you reply to the e-mail keeping the list in CC, the ticket will
incorporate the successive replies as comments

 

Caveats:

*         We are still working to improve the JIRA integration. At present,
JIRA is not sending notifications back to the user so if you add comments to
the JIRA ticket, he/she will not get them. Ensure that all info is sent by
e-mail.

*         The JIRA ticket does not keep the mail address of the sender. You
would normally reply by email (so this should not be an issue) but if you
send the ticket to someone who is not on the list, he will not know how to
contact the sender. Workaround until we find a way to improve this: in these
few cases go to the mailing list archive, you have all the data there. 

*         You can self assign the tickets you resolve. You can also close
them.

 

It is your choice how you share out the load or if you appoint a
“dispatcher” distributing the work – or even if a CSA takes the lead of this
task. If I was you I’d try to avoid discussions, agree on something very
simple and go straight to the work, at the end of the day distributing and
answering some 20 cases is not so complex.
