[Fiware-coaches] Evaluating FIWARE relevance in Accelerator open-calls

Hello

Indeed, I explicitly asked FICHE to make use of the ML so to test the whole process.

Nevertheless, I cannot yet access Jira as my account creation is still pending. Manuel is on it

I will update the excel sheet when I have access to JIRA.

Kind regards
Franck

Dear Frank,

As i guess the request from fiche generated a jira ticket, can you please also feed the shared googledoc (excel) file conveniently?

Thank you in advance!
Stefano

Great. Thanks all for these contributions. I will feed back to FICHE accelerator through the fiche mailing list

dear all,

thank you for frank, thomas and thierry for providing some additional points.

let me than summarise and make a coherent proposal.

Step 1 (pre-proposal submission or initial proposals screening)
This step is characterised by the fact proposers provide very few/draft details. Also the time to
analyse each of the proposals will be kept minimum.

1.No enablers used > disqualified

2.One enabler used > acceptable but this must be strongly documented
2.1 The GE must be tightly integrated with the solution of the company, i.e should implement a new functionality which is clearly value add for the company business. If not, i.e. the functionality is there just to take money from FIWARE, the proposal is disqualified
2.2 In addition, justification of why adding this GE rather than 3^rd party solutions should be provided

3.Several GEIs used > acceptable and recommended
3.1 the proposal shall provide a draft architecture of the proposed solution showing clearly interactions between the various GEIs and eventually third party or owned software.
3.2 Use of several disconnected enablers is possible. Then each should be justified as for case 2 above
3.3 Preferred solution is the use of several integrated enablers.

4. Application hosted by the FIWARE Cloud -> acceptable and recommended
4.1 SMEs should make use of this cloud, meaning that they host their application in the cloud while at the same time using a number of GEs which are hosted in the cloud too (or are deployed somewhere locally, e.g. in the case of IoT/Sensors/Gateways).
4.2 The only deployment of the application in the FIWARE Cloud is disqualified
Justification for the 2^nd step, we could start from the questionnaire which was
proposed by Juanjo (https://www.fi-ware.org/fiware-usage-questionnaire/).

ciao,
stefano
