Re press release, please note that it is not our intention to issue a standalone Orange announcement about this project. We will however take the final version of the joint announcement and distribute it through our orange.com press site (we have a mailing list of over 3000 key global contacts).

Additionally, I would recommend including quotes from all 4 organisations.

Re spokesperson availability, I’ll respond to that shortly as we should have Patrice Sluplowski available on Monday between 12 – 2pm.

Hello all,

My name is Angeles and I'm in charge of the FIWARE Press Office coordination.

The following are the proposed action items of the communication plans for the FIWARE Announce. As Belen Kayser already said. We can set up a call next wednesday to review all this.

1.- From your side (companies) to send later tomorrow afternoon the final text of the announcement/release (from the initial draft shared by Juanjo).

2.- From your side (companies), availability of spokespeople for interviews. We’d like to set up interviews next Monday 2nd. We should need availability of representatives of your respective companies for A.- Presentation to the press if required (Tuesday 3rd), B.- Press office interview for 4yfn report (Monday 2nd) – Could you please confirm/update/complete following names? Marieta Rivero (Telefónica), Patrice Slupwoski (Orange), Orazio Viele (Engineering), Huber Tardieu (AtoS).

3. Companies involved should publish a blog post, news or press releases on respective websites (Wednesday 3rd, Thursday 4th March - TBD1). Ogilvy will send the initial template (later next Thursday 26th afternoon).

4.- Coordinated action in RRSS. Ogilvy will send guidelines later this week (Friday 27th).

5.- Ogilvy will work in the Press Kit with a Press Release (echo of your own press releases) that will also focus on the necessity of of a Public-Private collaboration to anticipate the Open & Agile initiative for Smart Cities. The initial idea is to share the press kit and release with the press next wednesday 3rd or thursday 4th (TBD1).

6.- Possibility or recording some previous material from your side just in case any of the top executives is not available at 4yfn, i.e.: Marieta Rivero (Telefónica), Patrice Slupwoski (Orange), Orazio Viele (Engineering), Huber Tardieu (AtoS).

7.- Last but not least... We think that to get press involved would be extremely important to add/introduce this announce into @Orange/@Telefónica top executives speeches at MWC

We will try to spark the interest of 4yfn media partners but will appreciate if you can get support from your respective Press Offices.

TBD1: Regarding the Announce at 4yfn/MWC and pending upon your input on 7.- we are managing two dates for the press release (March 3rd and 4th). We must also get in contact today with the content & press coordinators on the 4yfn organization and see what is the best option to reach the press. We'll come back with news asap.

Finally, please find enclosed the excel sheet with the Press Office Contacts. I've added all the team but I will be (with Belén) your main contact before and during the event.
