Dear Michael,
I guess you/your startup is not accelerated by CreatiFI accelerator
program?
If this is so, I would suggest you to post your question to another mailing
list (because this one is reserved to CreatiFI): I recommend to write to
fiware-tech-help at lists.fiware.org
Best regards
  silvio

Issue id: HELC-1449
Description:
Hi,

My name is Michael, I'm working for the startup Intervyo. Our solution uses Kurento to capture video from browsers. Kurento Media Server is installed on our server since a year and everything was working great but after a day, without any further changes made to the code, we have encountered a strange issue with files generated by the recorder. Basically, kurento produces empty-0 byte webm files (see attachment).

After doing a lot of research, I was able to identify the origin of issue : neither audio (microphone) nor video (webcam) packets are sent to the recorder during the capture (see screenshot attachment). However, I can't figure out what goes wrong. I tried many solutions to fix this issue like :

- Restart the KMS

- Look at the KMS logs (no errors)

- Try on different computers with working webcam/microphone

- Try on different wifi networks (in case of packet being blocked by the firewall)

None of the above solutions resolved the issue.

It's important to mention that we are using the KMS version 5.1.5 . Likewise, I saw a similar issue posted on this forum<https://jira.fiware.org/browse/HELC-627> that you were able to fix.

My question is : can we potentially have a skype call so that we can discuss more easily ?

Thanks,

Michaël BENCHETRIT

Since January 1st, old domains won't be supported and messages sent to any domain different to @lists.fiware.org will be lost.
Please, send your messages using the new domain (Fiware-creatifi-coaching at lists.fiware.org) instead of the old one.
