Dear FIWARE Community,

We are excited to announce that the FIWARE Foundation is heading to *the
Smart and Secure Cities and Communities Challenge (GCTC-SC3) Expo

from February 20th to 22nd 2019 in Washington DC, USA.

This conference is organised by the National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST) and U.S. Department of Homeland Security Science and
Technology Directorate (DHS S&T). This event is for cities and municipal
governments. Over 100 cities and communities around the world are expected
to attend. The Expo offers a unique opportunity to create action clusters
working with municipal governments to demonstrate their accomplishments and
to share the best practices. Participating teams in 2019 have a focus on
cybersecurity and privacy in addition to existing GCTC goals such as
replicability, scalability and sustainability.

The exhibition is free, however, such items as carpeting, power supply,
internet, electrical needs (cables, extension cords, etc) and additional
furniture have to be ordered for a fee. *These services should be paid by
each co-exhibiting party.* The FIWARE Foundation is not able to cover these
