Hi all, This mail aims at defining the tasks we should define for WP6 on Exploitation and Dissemination of results. We encourage Alfamicro to use this stuff to produce a first but complete draft of the WP description form on exploitation (please ack you will do it along today). We believe it should come with a first task dealing with definition of the Exploitation Plan and then a number of tasks dealing with execution of each of the group of activities considered in the exploitation plan. Tasks 6.1 Exploitation Plan Description of this task will be mostly generic but at least should explain that action plans will be defined in those areas which are further elaborated in the rest of tasks of the WP, namely: * Transfer of results to the market * Collaboration and involvement in relevant initiatives * Participation in dissemination events Tasks 6.2 Transfer of results to the market This tasks would deal with execution of those actions of the Exploitation Plan that have to do with actual transfer of results to the market. This task should be very carefully written because it has to contain the bits of info that will make it credible that results of the project will be actually transferred to the market. As the rest of tasks in this WP, it should be aligned with section 2.2.1.1. Note that looking at the template for proposals produced by the EC: (I hast to) describe a credible path to deliver the innovations to the market. The plan, which should be proportionate to the scale of the project, should contain measures to be implemented both during and after the project: * (that) address the full range of potential users and uses including research, commercial, investment, social, environmental, policy making, setting standards, skills and educational training * (so) the approach to innovation should be as comprehensive as possible, and must be tailored to the specific technical, market and organisational issues to be addressed Of course we cannot give all the details at proposal time (they are to be elaborated on the Exploitation Plan :-) but we should be able to anticipate some actions ("It is foreseen that actions dealing with ..."). Here it is my take on points we may include and even further elaborate about: * the standard data models and KPIs that will be generated will be incorporated in the proposed standard data model for smart cities coming along with the commercial offering of a FI-WARE based Smart City Platform that some of the partners involved in the proposal are committed to deliver (Telefónica, Engineering?) * we will identify and try to liason with smart city networks (there are some in Europe) as to promote adoption of the defined standard models by them (this may be an action point to cover in next task but I mention it here just in case). To be measured in terms of incorporation of defined data models in the requirements of a given number "m" of public procurement tenders. * we will identify and actively participate in standard bodies/consortia that may arise or be relevant regarding standardization of data models for smart cities * we will put in place a number "n" of sale offerings that have to do with selling FI-WARE along one or several of the applications selected through the Open Call. Any other concrete and credible actions ? Tasks 6.3 Collaboration and involvement in relevant initiatives It should comprise execution of concrete actions towards liasioning with existing relevant Smart City initiatives. The concrete set of initiatives to liason with will be determined in task 6.1 but we should anticipate a list of initiatives we will for sure set a liason with in the description of this tasks (explaining that others may arise). Here it is a list that comes to my mind: * FI-PPP, concretely FI-WARE/FI-Lab (through FI-Core) ... for obvious reasons * FIA ... for political reasons :-) * Any FIRE related initiative that we should liason with ? * Concerto: http://concerto.eu/concerto/ * Civitas: http://www.civitas.eu/ * some of the initiatives listed in Civitas website (http://www.civitas.eu/links) * ... Other initiatives are welcome. Tasks 6.4 Participation in dissemination events This task should describe what kind of dissemination events we aim to participate at. We will explain that the concrete list of events will be identified in task 6.1, but we can anticipate at least what categories of events we target. We should come with a target number of events per category each year: * Events linked to initiatives we aim to collaborate with (or should this be described in task 6.3?) * Market events linked to Smart Cities (e.g. Smart City World Expo) * Open Data hackathons (try to identify some we could target) * training events, in the form of on-site training at relevant events as well as periodic webinars. * Other ? Deliverables: All of type R and CO: * Exploitation Plan * Report on transfer of results to the market * Report on collaboration with relevant initiatives * Report on dissemination Cheers, -- Juanjo ------------- Product Development and Innovation (PDI) - Telefonica Digital website: www.tid.es<http://www.tid.es> email: jhierro at tid.es<mailto:jhierro at tid.es> twitter: twitter.com/JuanjoHierro FI-WARE (European Future Internet Core Platform) Coordinator and Chief Architect FI-PPP Architecture Board chairman You can follow FI-WARE at: website: http://www.fi-ware.eu facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/FI-WARE/251366491587242 twitter: http://twitter.com/FIware linkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/groups/FIWARE-4239932 ________________________________ Este mensaje se dirige exclusivamente a su destinatario.
