First off, thanks for your message and interest in the *FIWARE GCTC 
Cha**llenge 2017*. Let me reply to your questions:

Although this is not mandatory, it will be significant if your company 
is currently working with North American public administrations, or in 
any case business partners that do it. In FIWARE Mundus we strive for 
creating new relationships between the FIWARE Community and 
international players, but we cannot commit to find this type of partner.

> - Do we need to have already an application/service powered by Fiware?

The technical solution in the proposal must make use of the FIWARE 
platform. In the evaluation process we will assess the soundness of the 
project and the previous commitment of the company in the FIWARE 
Community. Holding the "Powered by FIWARE" certification will increase 
the added value of the proposal.
