[Fiware-lab-help] Need help with the platform

Dear Hugo,

In the FI-LAB landing page at http://lab.fi-ware.eu/ you have several videos that explain the first steps with different FI-LAB components (cloud, mashup, etc.). Look under "Click on the links to see the FI-WARE video tutorials" title.

Regarding programming tool, you can use whatever tool you want (even a text editor ;). Note that your interaction with the platform will be mostly through APIs and, from a platform point of view, I doesn't matter which tool you use to program the client for these APIs.

Regarding real data, at least for the GEs related with context information (Context Broker and Cosmos), yes, you are right: they provide real information from several cities in Spain (Santander, Zaragoza, Sevilla and Málaga at the current moment, if I'm remembering correctly). You access to that information using FI-WARE APIs (e.g. in the case of Context Broker, you will be using the NGSI API described in https://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Publish/Subscribe_Broker_-_Orion_Context_Broker_-_User_and_Programmers_Guide, for Cosmos you will be using mapreduce or Hive).

Best regards,

------
Fermín

Hi,

My name is Hugo, i'm from Brazil and I want to know if there is some kind of "First Steps with FI-WARE/FI-LAB", i was trying to use the platform but i get lost with details, i'll list then:

    - https://account.lab.fi-ware.eu (this one i guess)

> I'll create my application in a web editor, or using an IDE? If i have to use an IDE, is there a specific IDE and/or a plugin for it?

> Generic Enablers provide real data for my application (am i right?), how can i get access to those data (i think with the code environment i'll quickly solve this one...)?

Thanks so much, Hugo do Carmo.
