as suggested by Pasquale I would express our common view by asking you to
keep active the IDAS with the SensorML until the end of the 2015.
It seems that after the end of the project the FINESCE experimental facility
will be down in a reasonable time, e.g. by December 31st.
In FINESCE we created and deployed the “ETSI M2M compliant” software
solution based on the IDAS/SensorML features prospected by the FI-WARE
catalogue.
In the metering scenario depicted by the most recent EU directive, the
“UltraLight 2.0” is not mentioned as a metering protocol.
Because of the above, there are no reasons for us to upgrade to the UL2.0:
the DSOs could demand for the ETSI M2M/SensorML but they unlikely will
demand for the UL2.0.
By the way, the co-funding rate in FP7 was 75% (e.g. lower than 100%): we
made an investment.
Based on the articles from the EC contract, we should preserve our working
baseline.
Should you dismiss the IDAS 1.0 (SensorML) by December 31st, we would
appreciate to get/download its source code, the ready-made binaries, and the
current configuration in full in order to be able to replicate the fully
working environment on our servers.

Dear Massimiliano and FINESCE team,
I hope your review went quite well including the demonstration.
If I understood well, this was FINESCE final review, so I think it is the
right time to bring back a discussion that we already had in the past.
The fact is that DCA/SBC (the old version of IDAS that you are using) is not
supported since long time ago (>1 year) but we kept it only for your usage,
so your could end the project up without disturbing too much.
Today we really need to take an action on this so we all have two options
depending on your needs:
1. If you think FINESCE infrastructure will be down in a reasonable time
(say 1 month max) we can keep this instance and shut it down by Nov 1st.
2. If you think you will further be using IDAS you have to upgrade as soon
as possible to the new architecture based on IoT Agents+ ContextBroker.
This architecture and components is really stable (we use it in some
Telefonica commercial projects too) and is extremely easier to use and
exploit.
